This site can be used for information gathering. Teachers can design instructional activities to help students learn how to use their cell phones as an anytime, anywhere research and information-gathering device. If you click on each of the active content links you will see that a variety of activitie types are identified as well as types of technology that could be used to facilitate that activity. I found it very interesting and would be helpful for tech coaches or teachers.

This is a good site, It would be very helpful for a person just getting started to look at their content area and see the types of activities listed (select the content area and then select the activity type link within the page). Each activity listed also has a list of technology that could be used to facilitate that activity.

As of August 2011 Academic Skill Builders has released 40 web-based learning games designed to help K-8 students build basic math, olanguage arts, vocabulary, and thinking skills. The games incorporate multiplayer capabilities in educational gaming. Studetns can play together in groups of 4, 8, or 12 at a time, promoting positive interaction and achievement. Educators can use the free arcade-like games with a projector screen, interactive whiteboard, or computer lab. Security safeguards ensure that no one outside the classroom can contact students who are playing the games. The games align with state standards and the Common Core Standards.

Sharing this again as there have been some additions to that that I think will be very helpful for teachers grades K-8.

How to link youtube videos is a really good step by step to help teachers who create videos and then want to link them together to allow students to click on designated annotations that allow the viewer to move between different videos and topics.

Planboard is a free tool to help teachers schdule and share their class plans. Overviews are then available for weeks, and months.

I like this site. You put a word into the random slot and you get a mindmap of all the related words and meanings.

Great site for those learning english. The teacher section has some good videos on idioms. There is a words in the news vocab section. There is a section about slang and phrases in English. There are videos and recordings and quizzes to help you learn about and practice English prononciation.

The Virtual History Museum is a history-learning environment designed to promote the historical understanding. The Virtual History Museum (VHM) enables a teacher or student, who serves as a curator, to develop an exhibit about a historical topic. Exhibits include activities that help viewers investigate the exhibit and then communicate to others the results.
