College student working on project to turn food waste into energy. He is studying was to converting biomass waste into liquid fuel known as butanol.

This topic is one of the most discussed alternet energy resolutions today, but hardly funded. Its possible that this college student will get somewhere, but also nowhere without funding to back up his research.

A student at the College of the Atlantic is working on a project to change food waste into energy. He has been studying ways possibilities of converting biomass waste into liquid fuel known as butanol.

Wow cool good for him that would be really cool for him if he did that because then maybe that would change the world.

BlueCross and BlueShield has been negotiating with the Local 212 Union for more than two months. After trying for awhile they could not come to an agreement and the workers were told to stay home. Although The workers were told to stay home they showed up anyways. They said that main concern in this negotiating process is a lack of job security and outsourcing that has taken place. This lockout was to ensure no interruptions in service to customers, members and providers and that the workers were told not to come to work until a new contract was ratified because of previous issues.

During an annual Easter message Pope Benedict the XVI called peace in the Midwest and areas in Africa. The pope also said that young people of Western Nations should work together for a common good. He also said that the people of these nations should build a society where poverty is defeated. It would be nice if his ideas actually became true but they probably never will.

People do need peace right now. There is so much fighting going on throughout the world that could be stopped.

Early Sunday morning, two air traffic officials were caught suspended. They were caught watching a movie on a portable DVD player. The worker was watching the movie while working the radar position. For more than three minutes the movie played across the radio frequency. The problem was brought to air traffic control's attention by the pilot of a military aircraft using an alternate frequency. This is leading to a nationwide tour by top FAA officials and union representatives, to discuss professionalism and safety at air traffic control centers.

I would not want to fly on an airline where people watch movies and sleep instead of doing there job. This stuff needs to be cracked down on.

Good, they should be suspended. You shouldn't be watching a movie while your at work. What if somebody that was dangerous snuck past and hurt somebody? They need to find two more serious officials, one's that will do their job right

A Lackawanna man was arrested on drug charges. The man was also part of the Mid Vally school district.

I think he should have been fired also because no one should be doing drugs. Since he worked for a school he should of definetly been against it but he wasnt. If you want to do drugs it is your own fault for risking your job.

He should not be aloud around the school and he should be kicked of the school borad for selling drugs....we need to get drugsd of the streets and now adults are giveing them to kids to use or even sell . that is not right

Wendy sister called the police about a family fight. He kills his wife Wendy and now he is in jail at Newton County, Georgia , His there for life.

In New York the police may have found a 9th body to what they think is a serial killers work. They started finding bodies in December and continue to keep finding bodies. they have also started using K-9 and dive teams to try and find more. But they are still looking for one missing woman.

Not much information given although there is an American citizen being detained in North Korea. The United States is working extremely hard to negotiate the Americans release. This wouldn't be the first time North Korea has captured and held an American citizen hostage. North Korea has detained several Americans in recent years, increasing tension levels between the two countries.

They shouldn't do that to Americans. We should have our rights in other countries too.

Just because we are americas it shouldn't give people the right in other countries to treat us like dirt.

Probably within the next five years, we will have the luxury of being in two places at one time using 3-D avatars. Instead of getting up early, getting dressed, and changing your schedule around for a meeting, you could just open up your laptop and within the matter of two minutes, you can be in a virtual conference room. The program will allow you to move your head to look around the room at the other people and while your avatar is wide awake and taking notes for you, you could be sleeping.

That would be awesome, it's like facetime but 3-D.

This sounds like it could be a bad idea. it would just make people lazier than what they are. I wouldnt do this.
