    U.S. forces stormed a compound outside Islamabad where Osama bin Laden was staying. Attorney general declares the operation "lawful, legitimate and appropriate in every way". Bin Laden was not armed when he was shot and killed, White House spokesman says. A woman believed to be bin Laden's wife was shot in the leg, Carney says. It took the SEALs 40 minutes to clear the compound.

    Hosni Mubarak has been under detention at a hospital in the Red Sea resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh. Egyptian authorities ordered that he will be transferred to Tora Prison hospital. The former president's medical team says a move is too risky. Authorities are investigating Mubarak in deaths of hundreds of activists during a recent uprising in Egypt. He is also being tried on allegations of corruption and misuse of state funds.

Gulf nations meet to ease unrest in Yemen - 0 views

    Foreign ministers of Persian Gulf nations will meet in the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday in the latest attempt to ease tensions between the government and the opposition in Yemen. The meeting will focus on completing discussions that took place Sunday in Saudi Arabia with the opposition Joint Meeting Parties. The opposition wants Yemen President Ali Abdullah Saleh to step down. Saleh says he will transfer power in 2013. Many have been arrested and injured in clashes with Yemeni security forces.

    The United States, with help from Sweden, is trying to get North Korea to release the man on humanitarian grounds. Sweden is representing the US because of the poor diplomatic relations with North Korea. The Swedes visited the man and are asking for regular visits. Because of recent detainments by the North Koreans, relationships are continuing to get worse. Citizens have recently been released in 2009 and 2010. Conditions continue to get worse because of concerns of nuclear development in North Korea also. The US and South Korea joined forces on drills despite the norths warnings. Without Sweden, chances of getting the man back would be slim.
