      This is a social media Facebook page from Egypt! It's a page dedicated to "Social Media Day" for Egyptians in Alexandria. This is a great example of the community coming together to celebrate something that gave way for a uprising and revolution. Although things might still be tough, it's nice to see Egyptians celebrating social media. The page gives helpful links to tutorials, articles and everything else social media related.

At least 21 people were killed and 70 hurt in the suspected suicide attack, which happened during a New Year's Eve service at the al-Qiddissin Church.

    In June 2010, Khaled Said, a young Egyptian citizen of Alexandria, was beaten to death by plain-clothes police officers outside a local internet cafe. At the time, the Ministry of Interior said he died of asphyxiation caused by swallowing a bag of narcotics, but a picture of Said's battered face began circulating online.
