Good stuff on my favorite sea explorer

Simple way to cut only the part of a YouTube video you want others to see. Can't download the edited video, but you can share them with a URL by FB, Twitter, etc. or embed it on a website or blog.. Nice tool!

The two I'm especially interested in are BigMarker and JoinMe. JoinMe is a good way to share screens and to actually work on someone else's computer. BigMarker gives the ability to do voice/video conferencing. Richard Byrne suggests using it to provide online tutoring, brainstorming sessions, and other online presentations. You can have a public or private meeting room, can share screens, and it comes with a white board you & others can draw on. I saw something that indicated you could upload docs & share those, as well. Lots to consider trying.

Looks promising as a no-cost, low-cost solution for teachers. The $10/year version allows for a student/teacher web portal. 

One teacher shows how they use Voicethread. The examples are great and shows how he has thought through how to make it a collaborative tool.He also has done a couple on poetry, hate, and genocide. SimpleShare is a Mac and Windows based app for sharing files, screenshots and screencasts across the box.net cloud storage system. We've shown you a simple hack for direct right-click in Windows uploading before, but this new free app makes the process even simpler. Best of all it's available for both Windows and Mac, and it's a joy to use.

Great editor and easy to use. Try editing the sample pictures. I also like using Pixlr as an online editor.

Important blog post of district looking @1:1 computing, and the cost/advantages/disadvantages of iPad/MacBooks/Netbooks in a school environment. I was reminded of Jim Klein's Linux image for netbooks that helps run a faster netbook and is LOADED with 60 educational apps, including Open Office. Installation of image is done with a USB key and takes 4min.20 seconds Lots to consider.
