gClassFolders is a tool that allows for management of all the files that students share with teachers and allows for sharing easily with students. The setup is straight forward and sets up three folders for students for a class - Edit, Preview(Read Only) and Dropbox to turn work in. If your school can't afford Hapara or you don't want to spend lots of time setting up folders, this may be the tool for you.

Debbie Morrison, Instructional Designer, describes how educators can develop a personal learning network (PLN) that supports meaningful and relevant learning. She makes a nice distinction between the PLN & PLE, which is the framework that is used as part of the development of the PLN. If you don't know what a PLN is or have difficulty trying to figure out how to create one, this post will be helpful.

Katlin Tucker, a dynamic high school teacher presents her approach-pedagogy-instructional strategies to transform teaching and learning. She demonstrates ways she helps engage students and grow skills in several areas, including communication, comprehension & critique, collaboration, content knowledge, etc. A couple of her main tools include Collaborize Classroom and Google Docs.

Linda Yollis, an award-winning 3rd grade teacher, made this video with her students to share how they have used blogs to learn the importance of connecting online with others online, about Digital Footprints and Internet safety, and sharing their voice. I think you'll enjoy it and hopefully think about the ways you encourage students to make their writing/learning visible and connect with others, whether it be a blog or an interactive online discussion. 

Richard Byrne shares five skills that will really benefit teachers who use or want to use Google Drive. Google Drive takes some getting used to, but provides some great flexibility you will not get in a server based environment, in my opinion.

Fantastic video on the power of how what we share with others can be more impacting than we think....after all, they may not seem special to us, but the idea may inspire something in someone else.  I wonder if that's how our peers and students feel, too.

Wonderful reflective expression on ETMOOC using adjectives and research that connects with each. Certainly supports the learning environment and outcomes so many of us have experienced. 

Nice explanation of MOOCs. This is a new wave in online learning and professional development. It emphasizes the power of networked learning, as well.

Great tool for scheduling a Google+ hangout. Gives those you invite a few date options and allows you to schedule the hangout based on how invitees respond, or you can have the scheduler set up the event based on the responses you receive.
