This Google Chrome extension helps you better manage the amount of time you spend on FB and other social sites. It will actually lock you out of visiting the sites again until the next day (or a time you select). Sounds like a good way to build self-discipline.

From my Google Voice inbox I can reply to text messages and the other person never sees my real cell phone number. Furthermore, it's free for my to send text messages back to anyone who texts via my Google Voice number. Watch the short video below to learn how this works. On a related note, Wes Fryer recently wrote a post with detailed directions on how to send text messages from a Google Docs Spreadsheet.

Includes a short video on student reactions to the video. Videos can be requested for download. AT&T created this documentary as part of its "It Can Wait" campaign because we want consumers be safe while using our technology. We are grateful and humbled by the bravery of the people who agreed to be on camera for the documentary. We would have no story to tell without them.

Gives you the Outlook preview pane, but lets you toggle it on and off, which is nice. Click the "Gear" icon (top right of you Gmail window, then Labs, then enable "Preview Pane" - save changes.

Anne Hinchcliff shared this great article that I think will help clarify for school admin., tech coordinators, teachers, students, etc. what our responsibilities and roles are in digital citizenship with regard to appropriate content. Richard Byrne, experienced teacher blogger, discusses three reasons to use blogs in the classroom. I think they are a good synopsis as you think about it.

Outlines each level of the taxonomy by showing attributes for each level, keywords used in writing that demonstrate that level, and questions you would ask to see that level in a student's writing. Examples of objectives written for each level of Bloom's Taxonomy and activities and assessment tools based on those objectives. Common key verbs used in drafting objectives are also listed for each level.
