I tried out this free screen capturing software (with audio) and I can see this is something I may want to use for quick tutorials. Exports video in .mp4, .avi, .flv, formats and assists in uploading to YouTube or to your computer. The pro version gives you the ability to edit, etc. and is only $12 a year. Try this app out!

One teacher shows how they use Voicethread. The examples are great and shows how he has thought through how to make it a collaborative tool.He also has done a couple on poetry, hate, and genocide. Designed to help you find and watch documentary films online. You can browse through 1700+ films on Free Documentary TV or enter search terms to find a film of interest to you. The majority of the films are served through the YouTube player so you can watch them on Free Documentary TV or on YouTube. Applications for Education:  If you do find a film that you like and it's hosted on YouTube, I recommend using View Pure or Schooltube to display it in your classroom without showing the "related content" and advertisements that appear on YouTube.

Search engine for images that have Creative Common licensing. It's always a good idea to educate yourself about the content you use. If you're unsure what Creative Commons is, or why copyright is important, take a few moments, find a few photos and and read the "License" information on the photo's page that comes up when you click "more info." The "more info" link is a great way to learn a little bit about the photograph, author, and various Creative Common's licenses, and what (if any) restrictions are applicable to that particular work.
