Study Jams are videos, slide shows, and step by step explanations for science and math that will have your students discovering everything from invertebrates to the water cycle and the rule of divisibility. Each Jam includes a teaching video/step-by-step/slide show, key vocabulary, and a test yourself section where they can practice what they have just learned.

Linda Yollis, an award-winning 3rd grade teacher, made this video with her students to share how they have used blogs to learn the importance of connecting online with others online, about Digital Footprints and Internet safety, and sharing their voice. I think you'll enjoy it and hopefully think about the ways you encourage students to make their writing/learning visible and connect with others, whether it be a blog or an interactive online discussion.

I tried out this free screen capturing software (with audio) and I can see this is something I may want to use for quick tutorials. Exports video in .mp4, .avi, .flv, formats and assists in uploading to YouTube or to your computer. The pro version gives you the ability to edit, etc. and is only $12 a year. Try this app out!
