This is a great article that shows how youth today need more physical games that utilize technology to be more active. The older generation may see technology in gym as counterproductive, but studies are showing that more students benefit from the options presented with gym tech. Like all classes, Physical Education can wrap more people in with more technological options.

This article is about the relevance of social media in today's classrooms. Facebook allows students to work collaboratively with teachers and peers, and encourages creativity and communication. Facebook can be used by teachers to post homework, create groups, communicate with parents, and to works with other teachers.

This is a great guide for schools and teachers thinking about using Facebook with students.

Elementary education focuses on learning through playing engage the students and expand on their knowledge. Technology can help to engage students with different learning styles. The article 'Impact of Technology in Elementary Classrooms' provides positive ways in incorporate social networks and technology in the classroom.

This article talked about the different types of technology that can be used in the PE classroom and how to use it. It specifically talked about the common things like flip video cameras and cell phones. There were also links to websites that could help students record activity and strength gains.

This was a great article to give you more ideas on how to incorporate technology into the physical education classroom.

Software and technology can assist all students in creative growth. Examples of sites to try for visual art include SketchUp7, Destination Modern Art, and Art Weaver.

Experience has taught Colleen Ruggieri to hand over some control of the classroom and the schedule along with the iPod Touches she distributes to her students. She doesn't mind if students use work time for more than English lessons; the technology-rich environment encourages it. "Monitor student behavior, but don't continuously worry about multitasking," Ruggieri advised.

This article talks about using Ipods or Ipads in an English setting. She uses the apps to access her student's knowledge of literary terms or reading comprehension and allows her students a different way to learn. Often, students that are knowledgeable of applications or devices become the authority in teaching the class and the teacher.

I think iPods and iPads provide a wide variety of options for English classrooms. I'm amazed that the students didn't have issues with reading on such small devices.

By the end of the school year, your second grader may be using word processing programs. They should be able to use draw and paint software. They should be able to use PowerPoint for presentation and have a wide range of technology by the end of second grade.

This article included great information for me. I'm always curious to learn when students are learning these programs.

Digital learning starts with teachers. Technology is not something that can just be thrown into a classroom with no instruction. The three tips include: 1- Plan Ahead 2- Try Something New 3-Become an Educational Designer.

"How Technology is Being Used in Special Ed" gives statistics regarding funding, services, types of disabilities, tools, and resources available to Special Education programs in schools. A very detailed and colorful Infographic is given.

Learning about how technology is being used and what tools are used the most in special education was fascinating!

This is a blog about how technology trends have changed the classroom we are in today. The on demand and interactivity has drastically increased. It also talks about how we expect an immediate reaction to everything these days with everything being mobile and instant. It also includes the classroom outcome of many sources.

I've read similar books and articles that describe this trend as "real time." The idea that we want everything instantaneously due to advances in technology.

The authors discussed the impact of technology with a specific emphasis on teaching mathematics. Pedagogy, content, and technology all interact with each other in a math classroom in unique ways as certain content itself relies on the technology for its existence, whereas pedagogy can be enhanced by technology. The key to a teacher's effective use of technology lies in the intersection of technical knowledge, pedagogical enhancement and content supplementation incorporated in thoughtful, non-routine ways.

Discussing and explaining about resistance of using technology in the classroom by teachers young and old. thsi article focuses on the benefits of using technology in the classroom, we cannot get away from it. It also explores what the future holds for technology, classrooms, teachers, and students. This article discusses the use of free web 2.0 tools that can be used in the classroom to help promote 21st century skills. They highlight four web tools, Jing, Wix, Google Sites, and Blogger, that can be integrated in school environments. The article provides specific classroom examples from four teachers, on how they were able to use these tools with their students.

This was a great article for class. We will talk about about some of the tools listed.

This article highlights the affects of poverty and the implications it has on elementary children. In this longitudinal study grade levels kindergarten through third were observed on their level of technology use and understanding. The study found, that in high poverty schools the technology levels were significantly lower than that of low level poverty schools.

Closing the digital divide continues to be a topic that many discuss and worry about.

This is a 2012 article from the Journal of Technology Education and was found on eric.ed.gov/. It is a peer reviewed study that was conducted for the purpose of identifying the research needs for technology in education. Their goal was to provide a concise list of topics that could be used to better oneself within the community.

This article discusses how students combine multiple apps to create projects to cross disciplines and encourage higher level thinking, collaboration and innovation. This was a great activity for the students to learn how to work with apps and create projects. They also learn to work together and think as a team.

This is a good article. I really liked the concept of smashing apps. Good Job!

As the article discusses the pros and cons to digital use, interesting perspectives are given. In conclusion the article determines that it's not if technology should be in the classroom, but more how much of it and when.

This was interesting and I agree with the statement of how much and when to use technology.
