What if each community had the vision and tools to directly restore and steward their watershed? We are a regional volunteer cooperative that works in communities to study, protect and restore ecosystems, cultivating social systems capable of stewardship.

In this essay, I'm going to lay out a set of ideas about a long term path for GameB to become a civilization level social operating system.

The Consilience Project is developing a body of social theory and analysis that explains and seeks solutions to the unique challenges we face today. It focuses on the deeper generator functions beneath the world's major problems, drawing on the best of social theory while showing where existing theories and institutions are no longer adequate to fix the current problem landscape. Essentially, a nation's economic development is directly related to its human development, which includes, among other things, health, education, culture and job creation.

PEC primarily serves homeless families consisting of single mothers and their young children. Many of these families are headed by young mothers with little or no work experience and some history of personal or familial trauma. The work of PEC is to support these families through a complement of social services that are intended to chip away at their barriers to success. Families at PEC are supported through emergency and transitional housing, employment and job training, computer skills development, GED and workplace literacy, as well as case management and counseling services. Through its efforts, PEC enables the families it serves to achieve long-term economic and personal self-sufficiency.
