Your stability counts a lot as for as your credit profile is concerned. Unless and until an unavoidable situation arises, never keep shifting your residence often. Alteration in your residential address too frequently may have a bad toll on your credit profile. In the same manner, do not be a rolling stone in your employment. This can be another feature that can mar your credit status, though you may be on a high perks.

National Geographic's Map Maker Interactive offers six themes on which users can create custom map displays. Within each theme there are subcategories to choose from. For example, you can select the theme Physical Systems Land then choose volcanic eruptions to display on your map. Map Maker Interactive also provides drawing tool and marker icons that you can place on your map. One drawback to National Geographic's Map Maker Interactive is that your maps cannot be embedded into other sites. But you can download your maps, print them, and share links to them. Overall, the ease of use and the variety of themes makes Map Maker Interactive an excellent alternative to creating maps on Google Earth. In fact, in some ways it's better because you don't have to install anything or register to use Map Maker Interactive. Adding layers to Map Maker Interactive is also more intuitive than adding layers on Google Earth. 

A question: If all students are expected to bring in their own mobile device(s) are universities preparing to install more power sockets for recharging or will we see a growth of chargebox like stations (http://www.chargebox.com/) where students will be charged to recharge?

Is only one iPad in a classroom worth it? This question keeps reappearing on the EC Ning and in other blog spaces. The answer is easy: YES, especially if the teacher has access to a Mac desktop or (preferably) laptop and a wifi network in the classroom. It is an even larger YES if the Mac device has the most current operating system. Having a computer to which the iPad can sync is not absolutely necessary, but it is a Best Idea. If you are not feeling confident, get your IT person or another teacher to help you out with setup. I am focused here on apps to install for MS and HS - and then what to do with them.

You can generating a url to share folders or files with other people. It works just fine on a computer with Dropbox already installed and the free account gives you 15GB of storage. That's enough storage where 'tidy' filing schools might begin to migrate their school network storage to the cloud for free - and that's exciting. Got  Moodle? Subscribe to the  Extensive Reading approach to second language acquisition? If so, check out the  Moodle Reader Module, a plugin that provides quizzes on more than 600 graded readers and books for EFL/ESL students. According to developer  Tom Robb of Kyoto Sangyo University, "The Reader module allows quizzes to be randomly generated from a larger set of items for each book. The module allows teachers to easily install the module on their own Moodle system, download the quiz material for those textbooks in their graded reader library, and configure its operation to their own preferences." Be aware that you must supply the actual reading materials to your students; Reader Module is strictly a means for administering quizzes based on the reading. Also, as a security measure, Tom requires that you contact him via email for authorization to download the quizzes. Google Apps Start page. Tutorials from Google on Calendar, Talk, Docs, Sites. These are audio enhanced overviews with animated graphics. Good Stuff. However the catch is that this is an Apps oriented overview. It's intended for webmasters who are installing Google apps on their domains. The tutorials still apply to the individual Google tools, but it might be confusing for folks who are only interested in a single product.

Google just released a major new update to Google Earth that now includes the rumored maps of the ocean floor. Google unveiled this update at an event at the California Academy of Sciences. After installing the latest version of Google Earth, you will be able to explore the ocean floor in the same way you browse the Earth's surface. Besides mapping the oceans, however, Google has also added three more interesting new features to Google Earth: easier access to historical imagery, the ability to record and narrate fly-through tours with the new 'touring' feature, and a 3D map of Mars.
