This is an amazing collaborative whiteboard where multiple users can edit a multimedia board in real time. The site allows you to signup and sign in using a Google account and you can access and add your files and media on your Google Docs/Drive area making this a fabulous companion to schools using Google Apps for education. You can write by typing or you can write in 'freehand' so you can use your interactive whiteboard to write and archive the lesson to use or refer to later.

"Google suggested that "using Google Profiles to help people find and connect with you online is how the product is best used," and in short decided that it would not allow any other use outside of that. Those with their Google Profiles set to private after the end of July will have them automatically deleted."
Google Docs is a user friendly suite of online collaborative tools that come with tremendous potential for use in the classroom. Last year all of the students in our school received Google Docs accounts and I was kept quite busy getting students and teachers up and running with the new tools, then discovering innovative ways to use them as effective tools for learning. Richard Byrne advises teachers to activate page-level permissions when giving students access to classroom websites for blogging or digital portfolio development (2012.05.24).
