The objectives of the ABEA are: To educate physicians regarding optimal evaluation and management of upper aerodigestive tract disorders. To present, at the annual meeting of the ABEA held in conjunction with the Combined Otolaryngological Spring Meeting (COSM), research findings of medical interest and importance to the ABEA's members. To advocate and support endoscopic training in residency and fellowship programs. The Technical Assistance ALLIANCE for Parent Centers (the ALLIANCE) is an innovative partnership of one national and six regional parent technical assistance centers, each funded by the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). These seven projects comprise a unified technical assistance system for the purpose of developing, assisting, and coordinating the over 100 Parent Training and Information Centers (PTIs) and Community Parent Resource Centers (CPRCs) under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. The national and regional parent technical assistance centers work to strengthen the connections to the larger OSEP Technical Assistance and Dissemination Network and fortify partnerships between Parent Centers and education systems at local, state, and national levels.

Provides training resources for new and experienced captioning vendors-the Captioning Key for Educational Media-and description vendors-the Description Key for Educational Media. The DCMP is an idea that works thanks to funding by the U.S. Department of Education and administration by the National Association of the Deaf.

Increases access to assistive technology in North Dakota by engaging in activities that raise awareness, disseminate information, provide training and dssessments, work with policy makers, loan equipment for trial-use, and demonstrate assistive technology (AT) devices to individuals of all ages with disabilities and those experiencing the effects of aging throughout the state. IPAT increases AT acquisition by making available a used equipment bulletin board and an alternative financial loan program specific to the purchase of AT devices and services. Delivers servics to people with disabiilities can get the assistive technology they need for work, school and home.

California AT System (CATS) is a statewide project which promotes access to assistive technologies, related services, and information to enable people with disabilities to be successful, independent and productive.

The mission of Infinitec is to advance independence and promote inclusive opportunities for children and adults with disabilities through technology. Services provided through Infinitec include information services, access to assistive technology equipment, training and education programs, as well as access to specialists

F.M. Kirby Research Center for Functional Brain Imaging at the Kennedy Krieger Institute. The Kirby Center supports both a central technology support staff and affiliated research scientists. Together they provide training and research advice for all aspects of the Center's imaging technologies. Research resource where imaging scientists, neuroscientists, and clinicians collaborate to study brain function.

The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) provides global leadership for a research, training, and education program to promote the prevention and treatment of heart, lung, and blood diseases and enhance the health of all individuals so that they can live longer and more fulfilling lives. NHLBI stimulates basic discoveries about the causes of disease, enables the translation of basic discoveries into clinical practice, fosters training and mentoring of emerging scientists and physicians, and communicates research advances to the public. Creates and supports a robust, collaborative research infrastructure in partnership with private and public organizations, including academic institutions, industry, and other government agencies

The IDD Branch sponsors research and research training aimed at preventing and ameliorating intellectual and related developmental disabilities. The program supports biomedical, biobehavioral, behavioral, and translational research in etiology, pathophysiology, screening, prevention, treatment, and epidemiology.

NICHD program focuses on developing research that links PCCR medicine and science to the epidemiology, prevention, and treatment of childhood disabilities. The effort sponsors competitive research on all aspects of PCCR-including critical analyses of outcomes for children who are survivors of trauma, congenital anomalies, neonatal asphyxia, infectious processes, septic shock, and many other less common, but still devastating hildhood processes. The PCCR program also provides support for the Pediatric Critical Care Scientist Development Program (PCCSDP) , a national faculty training and career development program that develops successful pediatric critical care physician scientists conducting research to enhance the scientific understanding, clinical management, and rehabilitation of pediatric critical illness.

Study completed and sponsored by Hvidovre University Hospital to investigate if physical therapy with strength training is better at improving muscle and gait function after anti-spastic treatment with Botulinum toxin compared to physical therapy without strength training in children with cerebral palsy.
