This study is an observational study to prove that a new device, which measures the force of delivering a baby, (US patent 6,684,165) functions as described in the patent. This is the first time this has been used with patients. The device measures the force (pounds/kilograms) that is exerted as a doctor/midwife pulls on a baby during the delivery

NINDS sponsored study will examine how the areas in the brain are connected when they are controlling two finger movements at the same time. Study will examine how people use what they see to help guide two different movements. Studying will further examine the connectivity between the homologous motor areas of the two hemispheres, and between prefrontal cortex and parietal cortex, to understand sensorimotor integration processes during competitive and cooperative dual tasks.

Completed study on Motilin, a peptide, whose action is controlled by motilin receptors located in the gut. Action of Motilin at motilin receptors increases the gastric emptying rate (rate of emptying of food and fluid from the stomach). Compounds which stimulate motilin receptors therefore provide a potential approach to the treatment of a range of clinical conditions where delayed gastric emptying may contribute to symptoms, such as enteral feeding ntolerance (post-operative or intensive care patients), gastroparesis, diabetic gastroparesis, and functional dyspepsia. This study is the First Time In Human study for the motilin receptor agonist, GSK962040.

The Guardians of Hydrocephalus Research Foundation (GHRF) was established in 1977 as a non-profit organization. Since then we have distributed over 10,000 information packets and received many phone calls every month answering important questions from concerned parents and worried individuals. Provides information to the public without cost so that a better understanding of hydrocephalus will be established. Provide counseling to families with children who have hydrocephalus to define specific problems that parents encounter and help resolve them as best as possible.
