Now this is an interesting concept. Plus it provides long term funding for the Elks lodge. I expect a number of lodges could benefit by partnering with senior care facilities.

This is a cool fundraising opportunity that a lodge with the right facilities can offer other non-profits. Sort of like an open house!!

Interesting. There are all kinds of regulations on the use of the term "Elks" for organizations outside of a lodge or state association. Since this has been going on presumably for decades, maybe it's a coalition of lodges in the New Orleans area?

I guess this $1 million building built in 2003 is the one being sold in 2014.

I've been to that lodge though its probably been 15 years. Georgia keeps on downsizing and there might not be a need for a state association. Sad.

"Newport Elks Tournament". Why don't you read of this in the Elks Magazine? A baseball tournament for high schools that has been going on for 30+ years! Over 50 high schools in S CA. Wow! That's impressive.

That's quite an accomplishment this Lodge has been accomplishing for 55 years with this gridiron committee. Great program too that acknowledges sports celebrities. A tip of the Antlers!

This could be a win/win for two non-profits.

This lodge was given the bowling equipment by a private operator who went out of business. It would be cool if they could find a way to make it work in their lodge. I wish our lodge had room for a bowling center. That's lots of fun.

I have to agree that gambling is not the best way to raise funds. However, our own lodge offers bingo and that is certainly gambling though legal.
