    I have to agree that gambling is not the best way to raise funds. However, our own lodge offers bingo and that is certainly gambling though legal.

Clarksburg's Elks Lodge 482 asked a judge Thursday to block ongoing attempts to take away its alcohol, charitable gambling and video lottery licenses. Kanawha Circuit Judge Paul Zakaib accepted the petition and set a July 16 hearing.

Advertisement Konstantin ''Stan'' Belenky, 42, was publicly revealed by authorities for the first time today as the unnamed co-conspirator referred to in a state grand jury indictment returned in April against Crecco, 62, of East Hanover. Belenky, an employee of the prominent real estate appraisal firm Certified Valuations, Inc., agreed as part of his plea to give up his public jobs as municipal tax assessor in Franklin, Somerset County, and in Berkeley Heights, Union County.
