8 Examples of Transforming Lessons Through the SAMR Cycle - Emerging Education Technolo... - 0 views

  •
8 SAMR examples. However, note that each example starts with a traditional assignment rather than a goal. The focus on product is another thing about SAMR that I don't like. Wouldn't it be better to start with a goal and then choose the tool(s) that best serve the goal, tech or not? It seems to me that what redefinition really means is coming up with a more robust and worthwhile goal. I'd rather just start with the goal and UDL Guidelines and select tech as an option that helps achieve the goal and meets the Guidelines.

Spelvetenskapliga betraktelser: Open letter to Dr. Ruben Puentedura - 0 views

  •
open letter to creator of SAMR model asking where is the research and educational credentials to back up his ideas. The SAMR model has become very popular but perhaps we should proceed with caution. For now, I am sticking to the UDL guidelines as the model I use when advocating any educational practice including the use of technology.

Kurzweil Mini tutorials - 0 views

  •
This wiki documents work I'm doing with students/teachers in Prince Rupert at the Middle School Level. They requested tutorials more suitable for students so we met to decide the "basics" that would be covered. The teachers wanted simple 1-page handouts that they could use to introduce just one skill at a time in small amounts of classroom time or to mix and match for longer sessions.
