This article discusses how children grow to self sufficiency when they realize their is more to the world than their own selfish needs. We see, however, that in AILD almost none of the characters grow out of this childish ideology.

Thus Victor must make order out of the choatic world and accpet the responsibillity of his actions

What Woolf describes in her essay, that a woman must have means and money to be able to think freely, one would think that a woman in a modern society, where no continent is neglected of technology and accessible tools for the creative space, is able to share her own thoughts and words to express her mind. No-- her concerns nearly a century ago ring true today, women are commodities, sold to slavery, prostitution, forced marriage, social censorship, many women of the world are trapped in a system constantly exploited by men. 

"The pursuit of happiness soon turned into the pursuit of wealth and ultimately to greed" This relates to the capitalist business model seen in FFN, GOW, TJ and NaD in which all the business owners work to gain a profit, despite the situation they place their employees. Material wealth is seen taking over the ideals of society, a concept that the members of the Eggs exhibit through their ostentatious parties and affluence.

This article discusses isolation, the causes of isolation, the effects of isolation, and how one copes with social isolation. In Frankenstein, the monster feels inferior to humans when they scream and beat him. This isolation influences the monsters mental state and his outlook on the world around him. As a result, he fixates on Victor in order to cope. This essay would support an essay on isolation or the connection between Victor and his creature.

Dealing with speculations regarding the insanity of the killers, this site personalizes Smith as a rather unmasculine, almost soft person. Naivety is a lifelong struggle. Like IM, trust in the logical, loyal solution in accordance with the system is a major mistake that costs him much of his pride, integrity and identity. Despite the countless number of clues that hint people of their naivety and unwillingness to embrace more radical views, they refuse to see, and eventually learn their lesson, the hard way. This, too, is the struggle with the current system society dwells in. 

While the rest of the world was busy bashing African Americans and blacks in general, women were also fighting for their rights and being oppressed by all different races. Ellison displays this in IM by making women IM's weakness and using them as "bait"

Some Muslim guy calls the Jews racist; just like Malcolm .His point: even though both Jews and blacks are minorities, the Jews end up rich and powerful, while the blacks end up poor, in ghettos, and oppressed.

This article provides historical information on the Black Power movement which was heavily influenced by Malcolm X. Black Power movement mimicked Malcolm X's view that the black people should not just assimilate into society and surrender to the whites. Black Power struggled to reverse the inferiority complex of the black people and gave rise to phrases such as "Black is Beautiful". This article supports an essay delving into the issue of the physiological effects of oppression and the fight against oppression.

This article talks about the Invisible Man in a more historic and political context, examining different political atmospheres in Harlem and the brotherhood.

This shows that Malcolm X grows from his early ignorance to control his own destiny. His maturity is finally acheived as he grows to make his own decisions. X never looks back from this point on.
