    This link is an article about the decision to close down the International Market place in the heart of downtown Waikiki, O'ahu, and transforming the space into a high end retail, Sak's Fifth. Being a frequent visitor to the islands, I find this news pretty sad. I have visited the International market every time I have been downtown to Waikiki because of how unique everything was. There were tons of kiosks with hand-made and high quality products and you could bargain with the owners. It really was a fun experience and allowed for a bunch of people to display and sell their distinct art. "The start of the new year marked the end of an era in Honolulu.     This is a really great event! I went last year with some friends and had a blast! If anybody is in the area I would highly recommend going.
