1) Social Fashion Why it matters: Mobile experiences can change the shopping experience to provide real-time feedback from friends, experts, and sometimes brands. Watch out: Retailers and fashion brands might not love the real-time feedback when it's negative. Best in show: Go Try It On is one of my favorite digital experiences, especially for an app I don't need personally (being married gives me all the real-time feedback that I need, and then some).

Hilariously unnecessary social media icons made entirely in CSS3... but neat.

When social proof doesn't work

The concept of social commerce can be taken literally, as in making a purchase directly through a social media property. This can be done, such as renting "The Big Lebowski" and watching it on Facebook. That's happening now, but as a revenue stream, it's insignificant.
