"2013 was a big year for iOS, seeing the release of several new iPads, iPhones, and perhaps most noticeable of all, iOS 7 and it's dramatic interface overhaul. To wrap up the year, we're going to offer a roundup of our thirteen favorite articles on iOS and it's accompanying devices. No, these certainly weren't the most popular articles published by OSXDaily, but because they're mostly tips lists and collections, they're all knowledge-packed with tons of information that is sure to teach everyone something new."

"iOS 7.1 is out today and you can update your iPad by heading over to Settings -> General -> Software Update. This dot update marks the biggest and bug-fixinest improvement to iOS since the release of iOS 7 last year. The major features you'll likely notice immediately are:"

"Many have noticed that iOS 7′s overall appearance is largely dependent on the devices wallpaper, and a good or bad wallpaper can make or break the look of things along with general usability, particularly for the home screen. Every now and then, there's an "Education" story that the masses take notice of-standardized testing, Michelle Rhee, Waiting for Superman, the flipped classroom, the iPad failure in LA, the testing scandal in LA, among others. The most recent to crossover is the hashtag #Iwishmyteacherknew, which is what it sounds like it might be-an asynchronous conversation (or rather, series of statements) illuminating the realities that many students face every day. On one hand, there's an inherent kind of other disconnect at work here that makes the whole thing a huge act of spectacle, while inviting frank discussions about privacy. That's an important distinction, because here we're talking about something a bit more clinical. Not entirely scientific and analytical and icky, but not entirely rhetorical and abstract and mushy either. Something somewhere in the middle-human, efficient, and hopefully happy and sustainable as a result. Besides their shared affinity with science, tech, engineering, and math, they often find that they have another thing in common.
