The OpenDOAR service provides a quality-assured listing of open access repositories around the world. OpenDOAR staff harvest and assign metadata to allow categorisation and analysis to assist the wider use and exploitation of repositories. Each of the repositories has been visited by OpenDOAR staff to ensure a high degree of quality and consistency in the information provided: OpenDOAR is maintained by SHERPA Services, based at the Centre for Research Communications at the University of Nottingham.

"Shodhganga" is the name coined to denote digital repository of Indian Electronic Theses and Dissertations set-up by the INFLIBNET Centre. Shodhganga replicates academic structure of each University in terms of Departments/ Centres/ Colleges each University has to facilitate ease of navigation.

The Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (NDLTD) is an international organization that, through leadership and innovation, promotes the adoption, creation, use, dissemination and preservation of electronic theses and dissertations. The NDLTD encourages and supports the efforts of institutes of higher education and their communities to develop electronic publishing and digital libraries (including repositories), thus enabling them to share knowledge more effectively in order to unlock the potential benefits worldwide.

It collects dissertations from 404 doctor degree grantors. The library offers to publish electronically generated and qualified documents on its online publication system. This service is for university members only and free of charge. After publication, the texts are available worldwide on the Internet and will be archived permanently by the library. The documents are indexed and made accessible in library catalogues and Web search engines.

The American Verse Project is a collaborative project between the University of Michigan Humanities Text Initiative (HTI) and the University of Michigan Press. The project is assembling an electronic archive of volumes of American poetry prior to 1920. The full text of each volume of poetry is being converted into digital form and coded in Standard Generalized Mark-up Language (SGML) using the TEI Guidelines, with various forms of access provided through the WWW. In recognition of the effort involved in selecting, editing, encoding, and maintaining online the works included in the archive, we expect all users to abide by the conditions of use.

Digital resource of The Schomburg Center, part of The New York Public Library. It consists of 52 published works by 19th-century black women writers. These include books and pamphlets published prior to 1920. A full text searchable database, subjects written about include family, religion, and slavery. There are additional research resources presented alongside the database.

The British Women Romantic Poets Project is a digital initiative of the University of Carolina Library, Davis (USA). The resource consists of E-text editions of poetry by British and Irish women written (not necessarily published) between 1789 (the onset of the French Revolution) and 1832 (the passage of the Reform Act), a period traditionally known in English literary history as the Romantic period. These are fully searchable online.
