The Sadleir-Black Collection of Gothic Fiction numbers over a thousand titles. Focusing on English writers and imprints, it is unique in its coverage of minor authors writing in this genre and in its holdings of original and subsequent editions of their works. Although its holdings consist mainly of English imprints issued from 1765 to 1830, it also contains American, French, and German editions dating from this time period.

The Brown University Women Writers Project is a long-term research project devoted to early modern women's writing and electronic text encoding. The main goal of the project is to make texts by pre-Victorian women writers accessible to a wide audience of teachers, students, scholars, and the general reader. We support research on women's writing, text encoding, and the role of electronic texts in teaching and scholarship. The website hosts Women Writers Online, a full-text collection of early women's writing in English that contains more than 320 texts published between 1526 and 1850.

Créée en 1998, cette bibliothèque insulaire virtuelle a pour objectif d'ouvrir des fenêtres (sous la forme de « sélections » chronologiques, géographiques ou thématiques) sur une production éditoriale particulièrement riche et en constant essor (1 500 à 2 000 titres nouveaux chaque année pour le seul domaine francophone). Les « sélections » proposées reposent sur des bases perfectibles : livres adressés par les auteurs ou éditeurs, signalés par la presse ou des bibliographies spécialisés, présentés ou évoqués dans d'autre livres - l'actualité, le hasard, la curiosité, le goût concourrent au choix des titres présentés. Tous ces ouvrages sont par ailleurs référencés dans un ensemble plus vaste, amorce d'une base de données bibliographiques exclusivement consacrée aux littératures insulaires et régulièrement enrichie : 36 100 titres (décembre 2010).
