It also represents one of the largest expansions of wilderness protection in a quarter-century, protecting vast tracts of land, hundreds of miles of rivers and trails, and historic sites and heritage areas.

"Are we out of this godforsaken Boulder Field yet?" The famous trek to the Key Hole on Longs Peak requires a difficult slog through the Boulder Field, a rugged section of "trail", roughly 2/3 of a mile in length and climbs about 800 feet. The incredible views on the other side makes it all worth it, as you can see by the pictures.

Considered by many to be "America's Favorite Drive", the Blue Ridge Parkway stretches 469 miles along the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
