      I am going to use this as a recommended site to explore in the module for learning how to create citations.

      I Love this. I couldn't bookmark the actual site, but its like a powerpoint type presentation on plagiarism. At the end there is a quiz. The student can have their results emailed to the instructor. I will also use this in my citation module.

  • Right now I am very frustrated. I have tried very very hard to listen to all of Alex’s comments throughout the semester and make changes based on her criticisms. My course when reviewed needed a lot of work but she expressed being frustrated that I didn’t take her advice when I am always careful to do that. I am not sure if I misunderstood or maybe it was the way things were worded. She had mentioned changing the names of my module’s during one of the previous assignments but in my course review she said she was frustrated because I didn’t listen about changing names of discussions and forums, when in fact, I changed the names of the modules like we had discussed. We never discussed discussion or forum names. I think these issues are issues that need to be addressed when learning about teaching online. Without having a face to face discussion misconceptions are not always cleared up right away and could cause problems later.

      This is a lab activity that I can use in my course to introduce students to linear functions. At this time, I am contemplating whether to use it as an in-class activity or having it that the place of a video for a lecture and become a lesson that is discovery for students to use on their own.

      This is a good activity for students to practice the learning objectives for my module containing scientific notation. With this students will be given random problems to solve.
  • Using the keyboard, enter your answer in scientific format, with one non zero digit before the decimal point (for example 65.3 x 107 should be written as 6.53 x 108). Press the 'x' key, and the computer will recognize that you now wish to enter the exponent of a number in scientific format. If you make a mistake, you can correct it using the backspace key.

    This article could be helpful to my students in the "Documenting the learning" module. However, I don't know if I will use it because I don't want to confine them to eportfolios. There are other ways to document what you have learned, for example - blog, wiki, webpage, presentation, etc.
