According to Bichelmeyer (2004), a “model” in regards to instructional design is one that “is a template, a structure, an approach” (p.3). Empirical evidence shows that ADDIE is in fact, not an instructional model, but instead a “conceptual framework” for learning (p.4).

I have planned on including a few students' postings from "Study Tips Forum" but I don't say in the course intruduction. Students will soon know after they see exam 1.
I see your point. I have been thinking about it even before I decided to turn the course online....I do know students will take the exams together, have outside help while taking the exams online. Should I try increasing the weight on discussion and decreasing the weight on exams?
What weight would you suggest?
this has been scientifically obeserved; there is a higher oxygen concentration in the area of that brain that is engaged. The oxygen concentraion does not double when 2 separate areas of the brain are engaged. Each area's oxygen concentration is less than what it would've been in a single-task engagement
