My class of 20 some students just started to use Diigo, and we had to annotate a document on the internet. I started annotating at around 4 pm responded to other people's stickies. I stopped working and came back 5 hours later and still had the window up. About 30 minutes in I refreshed the page and with it diigo, when it refreshed the posts that I saw at 4pm were gone, and I couldn't find them on the page. The posts and highlights that other people had posted were gone and so were mine, and other people's posts have taken their place.
When I went to diigo and looked at the bookmarked page and looked at all the postings, there were all the highlights and stickies that was on the page.
My questions: 1. (Note: the class are all in a group, and we all made the highlights and stickies as public) So, with that background in mind, I read somewhere about spam protection, does that mean that since we had so many people posting so quickly the highlights and stickies went away as part of a "clean-up" system?
2. Is there a way to fix this problem? To keep all the highlights/stickies viewable at all times? I'm just guessing here, but should we just select our group when we make the stickies instead of public?
