This is somewhat related: I just installed the Diigo app for the iPhone. I do not have a Diigo password since I signed up with an OpenID and that is how I authenticate on the web. Can I create a password? If not, how can I use the iPhone app?
A guess. At https://secure.diigo.com/setting try entering an e-mail address, then log out, then at the log in dialogue pretend that you have forgotten your password …
Nicely done - that was a good guess! I hadn't thought to reset my password (that didn't exist), but sure enough, it let me enter a new one after I reset it.
Can you also sign in with a user name & password, instead of OpenID. If so, how?
What are the pros & cons of either?
If you do already have an OpenID, I should recommend using it.
When you use OpenID to join Diigo, the Diigo routine will require you to choose a Diigo user name (but not a password).
So, no additional passwords to remember. OpenID is our friend.
A related question:
* which browser will you prefer?

Thanks!

Thanks very much for solving this for me!
