I'd like to be able to batch edit tags in a group and have the same change done to those in my Library.
Explication: When I bookmark a tool I tend to omit the 'tool' tag and just submit it to my 'Online Tools' group
... and now I would like them to have the tags 'tool+online' for when I search in my library.
If I edit a bookmark in a group, I noticed it doesn't change those in my library. But maybe if it did, all bookmarks submitted by other people would also be copied to my library(?) So an option 'sync tags to my Library' would maybe be necessary? We could then easily save a bunch of bookmarks from groups.
Anyway, it would be nice to be able to select more bookmarks than the visible portion.

True.
Diigo use of the word 'share' is sometimes misleading.
When you want a group to see something that's in your library, that thing is basically copied (not truly shared).
Beyond that major step (copy), some types of annotation that you add to your library copy of the bookmark will be 'echoed' to the group.
Search this group for 'workflow' to find some hints …
I can't find the post that I was thinking of. In a nutshell:
1. don't rush to copy to a group
2. work from the top of the page, to the bottom
3. when you have finished annotating, copy to a group.
Thereafter:
* additional highlights will be copied to the group
* additional notes will be audience-specific.
