I've just started using Diigo and tried to send my wife some details about holiday hotels. She was unable to open the bookmarks. Was this because they were marked "private"?
If they have to be public how do I stop my personal remarks to my wife being available for everyone to read?

=======> No, you can forward private bookmarks to others. I checked the forward feature and it worked for me. What's browser your wife use? Could you forwarding the problematic page to joel 【at 】 diigo dot com? We will look into it and find out what happened to this page.
Well I would except that I can't get the forward facility to work at all now!

I annotated a page and sent it to a non-member. When he opened it, he saw my comment at the top, a link (supposedly to the annotated article), and the bulleted sections from my highlights.
When he clicked the link, he was presented with the login popup instead of the annotated page. I then tested it with my wife, with a different page. Same thing happened.
In both cases, the recipients were using Gmail with Firefox.
