  * three failures in Firefox, so I switched to Safari
  
  * two failures in Safari
  
  * third attempt in Safari was successful.

  Might your CAPTCHA routine be somehow incompatible with tabbed windows that are created in this way?

  Might re-sizing of the window, or any aspect thereof, be an issue for the CAPTCHA?

  Diigo Community forum CAPTCHA failures in WebKit have become rare enough for me to treat them as negligible.
  
  The failures that do occur are probably caused by the
  poor choice of characters that are presented to the human.
  
  Resolution of this topic 7109 leaves us with a few other CAPTCHA-related bugs:

  - a user of Firefox might like to review that topic

  uncommon because use of comment walls is uncommon)

  - very buggy, IME not as severe as 8619, again: not a commonly-used feature.
