www.inspiringteachers.com is a website that teachers can use to find tips, ideas, and general inspiration to use in their classrooms. It is set up in a way that is beneficial to many teachers as you can choose to filter the information to the specific type of teaching you do or how long you have been teaching. It contains loads of helpful information for teachers whether they have just started out or have been teaching for decades. This relates to standard 6.4 because part of using technology in our classrooms and to change our educational practice is finding information and inspiration and this website has a lot of good information all in one place.

TeacherTube is free to everyone. Members are encouraged to not only upload educationally relevant videos, but also to make constructive comments and use the rating system to show appreciation for videos of value to one as an educator or learner. Users also have the ability to preserve the integrity of the site by flagging inappropriate videos.

I love the search engine. I typed in War of 1812 and it came up with a bunch of video clips and more. Great site! Thanks for sharing!

This is not only a cute and decorative website, I thought this was absolutely helpful to find other emerging resources that are made available to all of us future teachers! I really liked how it could be tied to using the state-standards within the curriculum. I really liked how you could print out freebie worksheets according to the subject and topic that was being taught. I hope everyone tries out this website, trust me, you won't regret it!

This website has an enormous amount of free smart board games and also has the option of purchasing accredited resources. From simply looking through the list, there are resources for every grade level and close to every subject. I can't wait to try them out!

PBS Teachers has a variety of resources for teachers, free of charge, including lessons plans and access to PBS programing filtered by subject area. Members also have access to teacher discounts through the PBS store.

Find teaching resources and program information such as episode descriptions and educational learning goals for PBS KIDS shows. Also includes professional development opportunities for all teachers.

Professor Garfield is an interactive website that I found surfing the internet. Is a website exploding with creativity, videos, games, comics, books, and music! Teachers even have a Teachers Lounge that they can visit. It meets standard 6.8 because of the different uses of technology through the items listed above, all while making sure that they are things that are interactive and fun for kids to participate in.

Can anyone join or do have to be a teacher?

I was able to do all the kid activities and the teacher activities without signing up at all. I am pretty sure anyone can do any of it.

Thinkwave is an online gradebook that allows teachers to post assignments and grades online as well as collect homework and create a classroom blog. Thinkwave is accessible for students and parents. 6.6 Candidates use technology to effectively communicate with students, parents and colleagues.

This website goes along with Standard 6.1 by providing teachers with multiple ways to enhance their classroom. There are free worksheets to print out, many links to other websites to get educational material, educational games, and more. It has lesson plan ideas sorted by subject area and even emergency lessons for substitutes to keep students engaged. As a beginning professional, you can look at tips on how to write a lesson plan and improve it as well.

If knowledge was power this site would be invincible. With countless free lesson plans, activities, and games for both students and teachers this site has it all while adhering to standard 6.1.

Teachnology.com is a teacher's resource site that offers educational and instructional tools for teachers. This site reflects Standard 6.5, because this site features research in educational topics and teacher development, student and teacher safe search engines, information in educational technology, teacher newsletters, and teacher forums that allow teachers to communicate on updates and ideas in the educational world. Teachnology.com also offers classroom resources such as lessonplans, worksheets, templates for graphic organizers, and rubrics that can be used in the class.

This site is good for finding new materials in class. The site has many activities that educational for all grade levels.

This website has won many awards for it's instructional design and creative use of technology. This is a great place for new teachers to review different types of learning. There are several workshops to choose from.

This is a database of useful websites for teachers of all areas. Active links take you directly to a website of the topic of your choice. This website stood out for me mainly because of the large volume of websites categorized for easy navigation.

Assignaday is very iseful for teachers as well as students. It meets the requirements because a teacher can create a class calendar that the students and parents can view. This allows easy communication between teachers, students, and parents because it allows all individuals to view the required assignments and know the due dates. There are no surprises!
