Outline Your Classroom Floor Plan For students, the classroom environment is very important. The size of the classroom and interior areas, the colors of the walls, the type of furniture and flooring, the amount of light, and the room arrangement all influence how students learn.

With the popularity of Facebook and the ability to connect to it from iPads to desktops, it only makes sense to use it for a classroom communication tool. I did a quick search for classrooms, and specifically special education classrooms on Facebook and found numerous pages from all over the world. By using a Facebook page for the class, parents can see what the days lessons were as well as homework and pictures of the day or week. Messages can also be sent to the entire group or individuals as well as other teachers in the department.

It covers methods of assessment, appropriate times assessment should be administered, and how to develop and implement assessment tasks. This is a great, comprehensive source for learning how to interpret and utilize assessment in the classroom in order to improve the experience for all.

The NAEA is great website that expands your knowledge about an art education career and a great example of the standard 6.4: Candidates use technology in their own learning process and to change their current educational practice. It provides learning opportunities for current and future art educators to expand their knowledge and to better their classroom. The community part of the website allows art educators from all over the USA to share ideas and strategies for their classroom. There are also grants and opportunities for students and teachers to earn money or more knowledge about art education. The learning tab gives lesson plan ideas. Last, the best part about this website is that it helps you start your career by finding a job.  

This site is great to use in your classroom for grammar review. This site has many grammar games that can be played in the classroom. this is an English centered classroom help. Although it is a great resource for students.

This website offers teachers, parents and students resources for use in the classroom and at home. Resources include lesson plans, strategy guides, activities and more. 6.4 Candidate use technology in their own learning process and to change their current educational practice. I believe this website met the 6.4 standard because it educates teachers on innovative ways to set up lessons and activities in the classroom. This website also offers teachers educational websites which show them how to incorporate technology into their lessons.

This website is full of interesting tips on technology, classroom management, and many other classroom tips. The particular page I have uploaded is titled Technology Timesavers for Teachers. It shows various games and apps you can use with an ipad in the classroom. It shows apps for organizing schedules and grades also.

ABC ya! is a great website to incorporate technology in your classroom. This website includes fun games and enrichment activities for Elementary schools Kindergarten through fifth grade. After a student has completed their assignment, they can log on to this site and do grade based activities that are fun and educational. All of these games are free to play.

ABCya.com is the leader in free educational kids computer games and activities for elementary students to learn on the web. All children's educational computer activities were created or approved by certified school teachers. All educational games are free and are modeled from primary grade lessons and enhanced to provide an interactive way for children to learn.

ABCYa.com is an interactive children's website, loaded with fun games and activities to help children learn and practice reading, math, grammar, spelling, history, geography and more. This site is free and there are tons of games to choose from, and you choose the grade level to play them at. At the end of each game the easy to read results give you a clear understanding of how you did in the game and where you need more practice at. I will be introducing this site to my own children, and will incorporate it into my classroom for my students as well. I highly recommend this site.

This website is a free social networking site that allows teachers and students to engage in collaborative projects and learning assignments with others from around the world. Teachers can set up virtual classrooms and grant their students monitored e-mail accounts, with parental permission of course, in order for them to interact with other students from all over the globe. For instance, while studying about the rain forest the class may connect with another classroom that lives in the rain forest. This website also allows the teacher to involve parents in the process of learning by adding them to the class network. Parents can monitor their child's academic progress and also receive the classroom newsletter. One aspect about the website that is extremely helpful is the translation tool. This allows teachers the opportunity to have conversations with parents in their native language.

Communicating with technology. This website is a great tool for teachers to help with classroom management. It has tips on room arrangement and behavior charts. This would be a great resource for beginner teachers.

Mimio is a company that makes interactive technologies for the classroom. The interactive whiteboard is similar to a smartboard except it just attaches to the teachers exisiting whiteboard magnetically. Students or teachers can use the pens to write on the board and control the computer screen by using the whiteboard. Mimio also makes a reading tutorial called MimioSprout. This helps children from kindergarten to second grade with reading. This website meets standard 6.1 because it allows students to use interactive technology in the classroom. It also allows students to further their education while playing games and doing activities on Mimio Sprout. The white board would allow teachers to use technology in a positive way to have students interact during a lesson instead of just listening to the teacher. With the interactive white board, students can get up and interact with the teacher and their peers.

Gamequarium is an online interactive website with games and worksheets to supplement the instructional strategies that the students learned in class. This website also provides teachers with access to lesson plans and teaching tips on how to teach students, Teachers also get access to information about the importance and saftey of internet access and different ways to include instructional technology into the classroom such as YouTube.Gamequarium is an educational website that supplements the instruction of both teachers and students via hands-on technology.

Interactive learning Sites for the Classroom. This is a great way to get children involved in classroom interaction. This is a fun website with many different games and such. It almost like a big video game on the computer for learning all different subjects.

This is a fun and completely free web tool for teachers to use! This is a new way for teachers to monitor their classroom and keep in touch with parents on how their child is preforming in the classroom. This a great way for teachers to change the way they communicate with the parents and students about what their behaviors. This website is free and can be customized to all your needs!

Teacher scholastic provides many activities for any grade level and subject area. This applies to standard 6.1 because it allows teachers and students to use technology in the classroom to do different activities and/or practice what they are learning so they can learn the material better and the teacher can teach it more efficiently.

Candidates use technology to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues.

This is a very informative site that offers a great deal of information concerning the safety of internet usage in the classroom. As I searched through the site, I noticed that there was an abundance of web resources, product info and reviews, lesson plans and more. The standard for this site is 6.9. The purpose of this standard is to make teachers aware of the legalities and ethical usage of technology in the classroom. I feel that this is a resourceful site for all teachers.

Quizlet is a website that allows the teacher and students to study topics via quizzes, flash cards, etc.

Quizlet is an online learning tool for students and teachers that lets the user study a variety of subjects for free. It allows teachers to create quizzes and practice questions for their students based upon the material being taught in class. Students can then go online and take these quizzes or complete these practice questions to study. Quizlet can be used both inside and outside of the classroom and provides both teachers and students with a fun and interactive method of integrating technology into learning.
