They can then post assignments on there for students to access in case a student misses class. Teachers can have a calendar on the class page which can help students keep up with when their assignments are due. Teachers can also send notifications to parents and students through email. Teachers can also talk to other teachers to discuss different topics. The standard for this website is Standard 6.6 which deals with using technology to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues.

Quizlet is a website that allows the teacher and students to study topics via quizzes, flash cards, etc.

Quizlet is an online learning tool for students and teachers that lets the user study a variety of subjects for free. It allows teachers to create quizzes and practice questions for their students based upon the material being taught in class. Students can then go online and take these quizzes or complete these practice questions to study. Quizlet can be used both inside and outside of the classroom and provides both teachers and students with a fun and interactive method of integrating technology into learning.

This applies to standard 6.1 because it allows teachers and students to use technology in the classroom to do different activities and/or practice what they are learning so they can learn the material better and the teacher can teach it more efficiently.

It is free and it has so many things that are beneficial to teachers. You can bookmark different videos or lesson plans so that you can go back to them whenever you want to. You can choose your subject and grade level and the website will notify you of new videos that are related to your subject interests.

Students or teachers can use the pens to write on the board and control the computer screen by using the whiteboard. Mimio also makes a reading tutorial called MimioSprout. This helps children from kindergarten to second grade with reading. This website meets standard 6.1 because it allows students to use interactive technology in the classroom. It also allows students to further their education while playing games and doing activities on Mimio Sprout. The white board would allow teachers to use technology in a positive way to have students interact during a lesson instead of just listening to the teacher. With the interactive white board, students can get up and interact with the teacher and their peers.

It gives the teacher a opportunity to learn about various topics they may be presenting in class it also gives the student the ability to watch quality documentaries assigned by the teacher without having to do so in the classroom.
