How to Live Through Severe Depression - Associated Content - associatedcontent.com - 0 views

  •
What I Live With Depression is a condition that I have lived with all of my life because when I was three years old, I got hit by a car. This caused severe brain damage and I was in a coma for two weeks after the accident. The doctors didn't think I was going to survive and yet, I proved them wrong.

Let the Words Flow - FictionPress.com - 0 views

  •
A site on which one can publish one's fiction. The social networking aspect of the site seems to be limited to the posting of reviews. Having not yet registered an account on this site, I don't know whether or not one can screen the reviews of one's stories. As each story page seems to link to a page of reviews of the story appearing on that page, if the answer to this question is "no", then what one would have, in effect, would be a guestbook that one couldn't moderate, with all of the possibilities for abuse that creates. I don't know that's the case, but I also don't know that's not the case, so I'll set up that account in a few days and learn more. I just didn't want somebody blindly stumbling into trouble, thinking that I had checked out something that I hadn't, yet.

Day To Day Functioning With A Brain Injury - 0 views

  •
I had a brain injury as a child and I want to let others know that have had brain injuries, that they aren't alone. I also want to let them know that what they are experiencing is normal for this condition. It's not something that they should feel bad about. With persistence and determination, you can overcome whatever obstacles stand in your way.The reason that I know this is because I went from being a small child in a coma, clinging onto life; to a mature human being making a difference in humanity. If I can do it, anybody can do it.I've always made a point to move forward and not look back on the past as a crutch. If you do the best you can, with what you have, where you are; then, there isn't a person on this planet who can ask anything more of you. The point of all this is, that it's a learning experience. The end result of learning is always growth in some direction.

I was three and a half years old when I was hit by a car. The year was 1974. If I remember correctly; I think it was sometime in April, I only know this because I remember seeing some medical documents that were in my record.

I'm an amateur but, I'm trying. Here's a goofy photo of me taken by me. I have such beautiful facial features that I often have to do a double take when I look in the mirror. I know that I'm stunning and beautiful. Please, don't mistake my arrogance for vanity. This little ole light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine.

Yes I have inserted my philosophy of how I see the world. I would like to call on you, yes you. I know that you sit there and you say," how could a little ole person like me have such a profound effect on the world?"

Depression: How It's Robbing You of Your Past, Present, and Future - Associated Content... - 0 views

  •
Depression I've been depressed since I was eight-years-old, I'm 39 years old now. When I was depressed I would think about how bad things are and just expect them to get worse. A lot of the time I would think about suicide and how nice it would be to die and be done with everything having to do with life.

Said to be a copy of said bill. I haven't yet confirmed this by checking the loc.gov site which, regrettably, seems to rely on the use of temporary pages for legislation, judging from the url I saw when I went there looking for this bill.

Intuition is a term that I used to hear about and wonder what it was. After I got to know what intuition was and that it was something that could help me improve every aspect of my life, I was thrilled beyond belief.

Why-I-love-chocolate-with-all-of-my-taste-buds - 0 views

  •
Chocolate is my favorite. I have fond recollections of chocolate soothing me as the sweet taste melts in my mouth and inspires my taste buds with delight; no, make that more of a passion and enchantment. Is chocolate the pathway to enlightenment? It sure feels like it. Every time chocolate passes my lips and touches the tip of my tongue, I get this warm and tingly feeling inside.

US Orphan Works Act of 2008 / Capwiz.com - 0 views

Action site of person who posted video on Youtube of the same, alleging that copyright protection was about to be shredded for those whose works did not appear in commercial registries. There is some talk about the impact this will have on artists. What I don't see, and would like to, is the text of the bill, itself, and some supporting links. Much of this, we're asked to take on faith, which is a troublesome thing in a setting like the Internet, where we are all forced to deal with strangers. If the author is telling the truth, I hope he'll work on fixing these deficiencies in his site..

Conversation-Fillers-That-Are-Annoying - 0 views

I want to make people aware of what they're saying and when they're saying it, with the thought in mind of how they're coming across to others. I know that when you are having a conversation with someone, you don't always know what you're going to say or talk about. Sometimes, ideas come out in conversations; giving them a spontaneous quality.

Do you use conversation fillers? If you do, they might be holding you back. By conversation fillers, I mean the things that you say while you're searching your mind for other things to say. Here is a list of common conversation fillers that I often hear:

Living with the Results of a Head Injury; Part 2 - Life as it Happened - Associated Co... - 0 views

Life was very hard for me. My problem solving skills were very poor. Every time a problem would come up; my mind would automatically go to a place where I would think about suicide. It didn't matter how big or small the problem was, I would just always start thinking about ways of killing myself.

I guess one of the most frustrating things is that when somebody is trying to explain how to do something to me, and for some reason I just don't get it.
