WAYSIDE INVESTMENT GROUP of Houston and Iridescent Hotels of Dallas are partnering on the management of two hotels in San Antonio, Texas, and Houston. Both companies are relatively new ventures by established hoteliers. The hotels are the 126-room Hyatt Place San Antonio-Northwest/Medical Center and the 113-room Holiday Inn Houston West - Westway Park, and the hotels' new owners are also based in Houston. The Hyatt Place is near San Antonio International Airport, several company headquarters, medical centers and the University of Texas at San Antonio. The Holiday Inn is near USA Baseball, Memorial City Mall, Houston's Energy Corridor, the Galleria, Downtown Houston, Reliant Park and Minute Maid Park. "The addition of these two hotels is testimony to the continued steady growth and expansion of Iridescent Hotels' third-party management team and the collaboration with Wayside Investment Group," the companies said in a statement. "Several more additions are on the horizon for late first quarter and early second quarter."

The TownePlace Suites by Marriott Amarillo West/Medical Center is scheduled to open in Amarillo, Texas, on July 30. It is owned and managed by Ram Hotels led by Kush Nathu, operations manager. The 104-suite hotel is six miles from downtown and 15 miles from Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport. Nearby attractions include Cadillac Ranch, Palo Duro Canyon State Park, Don Harrington Discovery Center, Northwest Medical Center and Baptist St. Anthony Hospital. Giri Bar Harbor Kebo Inc. and Giri Peabody 57 LLC, doing business as Giri Hotel Management led by Ash Sangani, recently acquired Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites Boston Peabody hotels in Peabody, Massachusetts, respectively. The two properties offer a total of 205 rooms. The hotels are within a 10-mile radius of Salem and 13 miles south of Boston. The Best Western Plus Hershey in Hershey, Pennsylvania, is now open. It is owned by Anish Patel. The 60-room hotel is near Hersheypark, The Hershey Co., Hershey's Chocolate World, Hersheypark Stadium, Giant Center, Milton Hershey School, the Hershey Medical Center and Penn State Health and the Tanger Outlets Hershey. Amenities included 1,000 square feet of meeting space, a heated indoor pool, fitness center and outdoor patio area. HOTEL INVESTMENT GROUP has purchased the property in San Marcos, California, on which they will build a Home2 Suites by Hilton. The San Diego-based company is led by Darshan Patel as CEO. Construction on the 110-room Home2 Suites is slated to begin in summer 2022 at the 1.66-acre property and is estimated to be complete by late 2023. It will be pet-friendly with a pool, fitness center and ?? square feet of meeting rooms. "The hospitality industry is finally starting to rebound from the challenges of the last two years, putting us in a prime position to continue expanding HIG's portfolio," Patel said. "Bringing a Home2 Suites to San Marcos will provide a much-needed extended-stay hotel option for the medical community at Palomar Hospital and for customers visiting the area's premier golf courses and nearby LEGOLAND California."

Home2 Suites by Hilton Cookeville in Cookeville, Tennessee, is now open. It is owned by NHK Hotels LLC and operated by Image Hotel Management, both led by Neil Patel as CEO. "On Aug. 14, 1986, Neil Patel, CEO and founder of Image Hotel Management, opened his first hotel, Executive Inn, in Cookeville," said Karen Patel, managing partner of Image Hotel Management. "Thirty-seven years later, we are delighted to open our Home2 Suites here and continue our partnership with Hilton Hotels." The 102-room hotel is near Tennessee Tech University, Cookeville Regional Medical Center, Cummins Falls, Burgess Falls, and Fall Creek Falls state parks, Image said in a statement. Hotel amenities include full kitchens, an indoor saline pool and a fitness center. The property includes a "backyard" with outdoor seating, a seasonal fire pit, pet pit stop, putting green, and yard games. The Cumberland Room offers 1,500 square feet of conference space with a spacious pre-function area and catering kitchen.

The SpringHill Suites Austin West/Lakeway in Lakeway, Texas, is scheduled to open Aug. 28. It is owned by Lakeway Joint Venture, managed by Sunil Patel, and managed by Esperanto Developments of El Paso, Texas, led by Madhi Nair, president and CEO. The 88-suite hotel is on the campus of the Baylor Scott & White Medical Center.Nearby attractions include Lake Travis, the Hill Country Galleria, The Oasis on Lake Travis and Pace Bend State Park. Hotel amenities include a meeting room, an outdoor patio with a fire pit, an indoor swimming pool and a fitness center.

ShreeGanesh Inc., led by President Jatin C, recently opened the 59-room Red Roof PLUS+ in San Antonio Northeast, Texas. The pet-friendly hotel underwent renovations by the company prior to its opening. The hotel is near San Antonio River Walk, Morgan's Wonderland, Toepperwein Medical Center, Randolph Air Force Base, Methodist Hospital Northeast, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, SeaWorld San Antonio, and LEGOLAND Discovery Center. San Antonio International Airport is approximately eight miles away. Red Roof operates more than 60,000 rooms across nearly 700 properties in the U.S. and worldwide.

HOS Management, led by President Kris Patel, recently acquired Residence Inn Savannah Midtown in Georgia. The 66-key hotel is near City Market, Oglethorpe Mall, Candler Hospital, historic downtown Savannah, River Street, SCAD, and Memorial Health University Medical Center. The property also provides easy access to the beaches of Tybee Island, St. Simons, and Jekyll Island. "We had a great experience working with Hunter Hotel Advisors, especially Mayank Patel and his team, on this acquisition," said Patel. "The Residence Inn Savannah Midtown is the perfect Marriott addition to our portfolio." HOS Management, based in Savannah, Georgia, is a family-operated hotel development and management company with properties under brands like Marriott International, Hilton, IHG Hotels and Resorts, and Wyndham. Founded by brothers Anil and Kirit Patel, the company began with the acquisition of the Benton Motel, their first independent motel, in 1985.

Red Roof Inn Charlotte-Airport in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Red Roof Inn Doswell-Kings Dominion in Doswell, Virginia, are now open. Shree Shradhaa Saburi LLC, led by Kiran Patel, owns the 108-room Charlotte property. SJ Hotel LLC, led by Nilang Maniarah, owns the 108-room Doswell hotel. Shree Shradhaa invested $700,000 in renovating the Charlotte hotel, while SJ Hotel spent $1.2 million in renovations of the Doswell property, Red Roof said in a statement. Both hotels are pet friendly. The Charlotte hotel is near the U.S. National Whitewater Center, Charlotte Convention Center, NASCAR Hall of Fame, Billy Graham Library, Harvey B. Gantt Center, Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center, Carolina Raptor Center, Charlotte Douglas International Airport and Gastonia Municipal Airport, the statement said.
