People were questioning the culture behind Marvel's hit movie, Black Panther. This article discovered that Wakanda is a fake and made up country, but the African language that was spoken in Black Panther was legit. The spoken African language used in the film is isixhosa. It is one of South Africa's 11 official languages. The people who speak this language took pride in it because the movie did a good job in representing their culture. They were also surprised that their language was chosen because Isixhosa is one of the harder languages to learn out of the 11. Isixhosa words as some people describe are rooted in earth and reality. Overall, this movie brought attention to African American culture and pride to its people.
