Images and other visuals are still a great way to keep up with the prevailing tendencies in web design. With this in mind I decided to write a short review about WordPress Portfolio Gallery theme. It is a new and advanced WordPress theme, which enables you to display images and create portfolios on your website.
I guess everyone knows how important user engagement is. It takes a credit for increased pageviews, content consumption, user retention, low bounce rates and many more positive changes on your website.
The wp_title() function should not be used by a theme in conjunction with other strings or functions (like concocting with bloginfo('name') ) to set the title because it will render plugins unable to rewrite page titles correctly. The best practice is to use the wp_title filter with a callback function. This method is now a requirement for themes.
and as such all plugins should be carefully tested specifically in the mu-plugins directory before being deployed to a live site.
WordPress only looks for PHP files right inside the mu-plugins directory, and (unlike for normal plugins) not for files in subdirectories. You may want to create a proxy PHP loader file
"Adds userfriendly multilingual content management and translation support into WordPress.
Writing multilingual content is already hard enough, why make using a plugin even more complicated? I created qTranslate to let WordPress have an easy to use interface for managing a fully multilingual web site."
"This is a list of free and beautiful WordPress 3.0 ready themes. They were harder to find than I thought, maybe because WordPress 3 is so new and theme developers need more time to catch up. There are some early adopters, however, and the best of them are in this list. To see the theme demo, just click on the theme picture."
"To find the best and working coupon to buy a product is time consuming job, many sites won't provide you the active coupons. To make your coupon search easier I listed few sites from where you can get discount codes for all major wordpress related products."
"Improve your WordPress SEO: Write better content and have a fully optimized WordPress site using the WordPress SEO plugin by Yoast.
WordPress out of the box is already technically quite a good platform for SEO, this was true when I wrote my original WordPress SEO article in 2008 and it's still true today, but that doesn't mean you can't improve it further! This plugin is written from the ground up by WordPress SEO consultant and WordPress developer Joost de Valk to improve your site's SEO on all needed aspects. While this WordPress SEO plugin goes the extra mile to take care of all the technical optimization, more on that below, it first and foremost helps you write better content. WordPress SEO forces you to choose a focus keyword when you're writing your articles, and then makes sure you use that focus keyword everywhere."
"If you're new to Multisite you may feel as though you've been tricked. You were told that it makes managing multiple WordPress sites so much more convenient, so you've jumped in with both feet. But now you're finding new limitations and complexities.
Don't panic. Here's what you need to do to get to the other side where you can say "I got this" and finally have multisite working for you."
"In this article, I'll show you in a few short steps how to get started with modifying the login screen so that users experience a customized, branded look and feel. I went over the top with this design just to show how dramatically the login form can be stylized using a simple mod to the functions.php file and some CSS."
Every web developer should keep useful code snippets in a personal library for future reference. Today, I'm showing you the 10 most useful snippets and functions I have added to my snippet library from the past 3 months.
"There's one phrase every internet user will be horribly familiar with. A set of words they'll have encountered hundreds, if not thousands of times, and that always prompts a brief moment of confusion:
The page cannot be found. The page you're looking for might've been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
"Did I make a mistake while typing?" you ask. "Is the site down? It was working a few minutes ago!"
For web developers however, 404 errors are not simply small nuisances but rather a leading cause of sleepless nights. Brief downtime or linking mistakes can lead to visitors leaving your site altogether, and a multitude of dead pages can cost you in terms of SEO.
Luckily there are a large number of WordPress plugins dedicated specifically to solving this problem. However, before we discuss the leading candidates, let's start with a brief word about 404s.
1. 404 Page
2. All 404 Redirect to Homepage
3. 404 to 301
4. Custom 404 Pro
5. 404 Error Logger
6. Redirection"
"In this article, we'll look at how you can add your own custom links to the bar with code so you can quickly access parts of the front and backend of your site with ease.
This will be a simple enough task, all we need is one function: add_node(). I recommend taking a look at what the Codex has to say about it, I'll show you the basics using a couple of examples."

Good news is with the right related post plugin, you can direct users to more of your content, and keep them on your site longer, which - if you're wondering - increases your chances of making a sale.
