$5 a month gets you Windows 7 from your iPad!? I wonder if Microsoft has actually signed off on this very interesting service.

Coming "soon" to smart phones, and, of most interest to churches and schools, to your local Mac or Windows PC. Faster than any physical desktop and using an ultra high speed internet connection, the OnLive PC will almost entirely eliminate the worst time and software costs of operating a Windows PC. A desktop wiki like tool for keeping track of notes, phone numbers, and even has built in tools to use as your GTD system. It is cross platform running on Linux and Windows. With Dropbox you can keep your notes synced between all of your computers. You can even attach documents, files, and insert pictures too to keep all of your information in one place. Each note page is saved in plain text making it possible to edit the files with a normal text editor if you do not have Zim Wiki installed on a computer but have access to the files.

Learn to use QR Codes without a mobile device

LastPass has 90 days to fix the potential exploit before ProjectZero releases the exploit to the public. The Mac Geek Gab Podcast recommends switching password managers if LastPass has not "patched the hole" in half the time (May 1). I personally have LP on all my devices, having paid money for the mobile version. 1Password seems to have a stronger reputation from the podcasts and bloggers I follow, but the desktop app was much more expensive than LastPass. Perhaps I'm getting what I've paid for. :(

Called a "personal internet desktop", Symbaloo is a way to graphically show your bookmarks. Del.icio.us bookmarks can be linked with this service - I see a lot of good uses, especially for lower grades if this were set as the home page of an Internet browser.

I plan to recommend this to my confirmation classes and my congregation at large.

Saw this the other week and made it my desktop as a reminder.

Free option I ran across. Seems to work pretty well. I tested it in a classroom with one leading the session and two joining it. I was impressed with the short lag time between the presenter and the viewers.

I still prefer dropbox, but this could be pretty handy.
