Flora-2 is an advanced object-oriented knowledge representation and reasoning system. It is a dialect of F-logic with numerous extensions, including meta-programming in the style of HiLog, logical updates in the style of Transaction Logic, and defeasible reasoning. Applications include intelligent agents, Semantic Web, knowledge-bases networking, ontology management, integration of information, security policy analysis, and more.

The goal of the SEALS project is to provide an independent, open, scalable, extensible and sustainable infrastructure (the SEALS Platform) that allows the remote evaluation of semantic technologies thereby providing an objective comparison of the different existing semantic technologies. This will allow researchers and users to effectively compare the available technologies, helping them to select appropriate technologies and advancing the state of the art through continuous evaluation."

As with any Web Services framework, SADI can expose any source of dynamically-generated information. In most cases this means Web-based analytical algorithms, but any source of data would be applicable - including robots, or even distributed human curators. Because SADI Services are stateless and atomic, Web Services that expose a set of stateful object methods cannot easily be exposed as SADI Services (though in many cases these services could be re-written to follow SADI conventions, and take advantage of the added semantic behaviours). Our observations suggest, however, that almost all services currently available in the bioinformatics space have a SADI-like behaviour that easily maps onto the SADI conventions.

The objective of the Linking Open Data (LOD) community is to extend the Web with data commons by publishing various open datasets as RDF on the Web and by setting RDF links between data items from different data sources.

The Semantic Web Science Association (SWSA) is a non-profit organisation incorporated in Karlsruhe, Germany for the purpose of promoting and exchanging scholarly work in Semantic Web and related fields throughout the world. The association's activities are selfless; its main objectives do not concern any own economic interests.

Integrate. Relate. Infer. Share. IRIS is a semantic desktop application framework that enables users to create a "personal map" across their office-related information objects. IRIS includes a machine-learning platform to help automate this process.  It provides "dashboard" views, contextual navigation, and relationship-based structure across an extensible suite of office applications, including a calendar, web and file browser, e-mail client, and instant messaging client.

A simple but powerful service that delivers RDF-based structured descriptions of Web addressable resources (documents or real world objects) in a variety of formats through Generic HTTP URIs. The underlying technology is Virtuoso's Sponger, which takes an existing Web-accessible resource (webpage, media) and generates an RDF graph of its metadata using existing well-known ontologies as well as site-specific knowledge. URIBurner then re-presents this data as either a new HTML webpage, or directly as RDF in a variety of serializations (RDF/XML, text/n3, turtle, JSON).

CubicWeb is a semantic web application framework, licensed under the LGPL, that empowers developers to efficiently build web applications by reusing components (called cubes) and following the well known object-oriented design principles. Soprano (formerly known as QRDF) is a library which provides a highly usable object-oriented C++/Qt4 framework for RDF data. It uses different RDF storage solutions as backends through a simple plugin system. Soprano is targetted at desktop applications that need a RDF data storage solution. It has been optimized for easy usage and simplicity.

The SWAD-Europe project ran from May 2002 to October 2004, and aimed to support W3C's Semantic Web initiative in Europe, providing targeted research, demonstrations and outreach to ensure Semantic Web technologies move into the mainstream of networked computing. ConceptBase.cc is a multi-user deductive database system with an object-centered data model. Its ability to represent information at any abstraction level (data, class, metaclass, meta-metaclass, etc.) makes it a powerful tool for metamodeling and engineering of customized modeling languages. The system is accompanied by a highly configurable graphical user interface that builds upon the logic-based features of the ConceptBase.cc server.

This project contains a set of wiki-related libraries, such as a parsers for various wiki syntaxes, and common wiki model (event- and object-based).

EASE, the European Association for Semantic Web Education, is a non-profit association according to paragraph 52 I of German fiscal code and is seated in Hannover, Germany. Its overall objective is to promote education and continuing education in the area Semantic Web and to support science and research in this area.

A Semantic Web Data Space is a container for domain specific portable data, which is provided in human and/or machine friendly structures. Data in a Data Space can be referenced by an identifier, and is linked with other data across spaces and domains, and thus can be viewed in an Object Oriented fashion.

SOA4All aims at realizing a world where billions of parties are exposing and consuming services via advanced Web technology: the main objective of the project is to provide a comprehensive framework that integrates complementary and evolutionary technical advances (i.e., SOA, context management, Web principles, Web 2.0 and semantic technologies) into a coherent and domain-independent service delivery platform.

TaxoDiary covers all types of knowledge organization systems (KOS), and related subjects. It is designed to provide the taxonomist, indexing and content professional with news and opinions about metatagging, and the application of KOS to increase findability of information objects within or across large collections of information, structured in databases, or unstructured in content repositories using controlled vocabularies. These activities are not unique to a single country or language, but rather shared and active globally.  It is part of our effort to keep abreast with the constantly changing field and to provide us information for research and used  in consideration for the creation of new products and services.

SADI is a framework for discovery of, and interoperability between, distributed data and analytical resources. It combines simple, stateless, GET/POST-based Web Services with standards from the W3C Semantic Web initiative. The objective of SADI is to make it easy for data and analytical tool providers to quickly make their resources available on the Semantic Web with minimal disruption to their usual practices. SADI is quite a distinct "technology" in that there's nothing to it… literally! SADI avoids creating new technologies or non-standard Web "infrastructure" (e.g., message formats).

The project aims at pro­ducing metho­dologies, methods and tools that enable the massive creation and feasible manage­ment of semantic cont­ent in order to facilitate the world-­wide up­take of semantic tech­nologies.
