EASE, the European Association for Semantic Web Education, is a non-profit association according to paragraph 52 I of German fiscal code and is seated in Hannover, Germany. Its overall objective is to promote education and continuing education in the area Semantic Web and to support science and research in this area.

This dataset contains information about multi-media content published by the European Parliament at http://audiovisual.europarl.europa.eu/. Media assets of type video, audio and image are contained. All assests are annotated with primary metadata (e.g., length, resolution, size, etc.), as well as topic metadata. Where topics are people, those are represented as complex resources in their own right, with names, roles in organisations, etc. Organisations are located in countries according to the Kasabi country dataset.

The mission of STI International  - Semantic Technology Institute International - is to establish Semantics as a core pillar of modern computer engineering. STI International is organized as a collaborative association of interested scientific, industrial and governmental parties of the world wide Semantic Web and Service community that share a common vision. How can we provide access to information services that are available only in English(or Dutch, German, French, etc.) to people who do not speak this language, or not good enough to understand everything they need to know? Monnet will be concerned with providing solutions for this, using a novel combination of automatic machine translation and Semantic Web technology. The project is a joint effort between four European research institutes, German software giant SAP, Dutch company Be Informed - specializing in knowledge-based solutions for public sector information services - and standardization organisation XBRL-Europe - defining the standard for financial and business reporting across Europe.

The European Centre for Ontological Research (ECOR) represents a new approach in applying ontology to a variety of problems in information science and related areas. The Centre, which was founded at the Saarland University in Saarbrücken in 2004, draws on the expertise and skills of existing institutions throughout Europe.
