Representational state transfer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - 0 views

  •
Representational state transfer (REST) is a style of software architecture for distributed hypermedia systems such as the World Wide Web. The term representational state transfer was introduced and defined in 2000 by Roy Fielding in his doctoral dissertation.[1][2] Fielding is one of the principal authors of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) specification versions 1.0 and 1.1.[3][4]

RDF 1.1 Concepts and Abstract Syntax - 0 views

  •
"The Resource Description Framework (RDF) is a framework for representing information in the Web. This document defines an abstract syntax (a data model) which serves to link all RDF-based languages and specifications. The abstract syntax has two key data structures: RDF graphs are sets of subject-predicate-object triples, where the elements may be IRIs, blank nodes, or datatyped literals. They are used to express descriptions of resources. RDF datasets are used to organize collections of RDF graphs, and comprise a default graph and zero or more named graphs. RDF 1.1 Concepts and Abstract Syntax also introduces key concepts and terminology, and discusses datatyping and the handling of fragment identifiers in IRIs within RDF graphs."

cloud4soa | cloud4soa - 0 views

  •
The Cloud4SOA initiative (FP7) focuses on resolving the semantic interoperability issues that exist in current Clouds infrastructures and on introducing a user-centric approach for applications which are built upon and deployed using Cloud resources. To this end, Cloud4SOA aims to combine three fundamental and complementary computing paradigms: namely Cloud computing, Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and lightweight semantics to propose a reference architecture and deploy fully operational prototypes.

RDF Primer - 1 views

  •
Resource Description Framework (RDF) is a language for representing information about resources in the World Wide Web. This Primer is designed to provide the reader with the basic knowledge required to effectively use RDF. It introduces the basic concepts of RDF and describes its XML syntax. It describes how to define RDF vocabularies using the RDF Vocabulary Description Language, and gives an overview of some deployed RDF applications. It also describes the content and purpose of other RDF specification documents.

Introduction to Semantic Web Technologies - 0 views

  •
Foundations of Semantic Web Technologies Chapman & Hall/CRC, 2009, 455 pages, hardcover ISBN: 9781420090505 (BibTeX). Semantic Web is a maturing field of technology that continues to be the emphasis of much focused research. This foundational text introduces the standardized knowledge representation languages for modeling ontologies operating at the core of the semantic web. To support the presentation of each language, the authors explain syntax and underlying intuitions through examples, with separate treatment of the underlying formal semantics. They cover RDF Schema, Web Ontology Language (OWL), rules, and query languages, such as SPARQL. The book also presents recent developments concerning the OWL 2 revision and the forthcoming Rule Interchange Format (RIF).

Introducing RuleML - RuleML Wiki - 0 views

  •
"Rules have many uses, coming in a multitude of forms. RuleML is a unifying system of families of languages for Web rules over Web documents and data. RuleML is specified syntactically through schema languages (normatively, in Relax NG), originally developed for XML and transferable to other formats such as JSON. Since Version 1.02, rather than assuming predefined default semantics, RuleML allows partially constrained semantic profiles and fully-specified semantics."

A Guide To Knowledge Graphs - 0 views

  •
"In this section, we will introduce KG by asking some simple but intuitive questions about KG. In fact, we will cover the what, why, and how of the knowledge graph. We will also go through some real-world examples."

"Our goal at Semantic University is to make it easy for anyone to get started with Semantic Web technologies and methodologies. The content starts from the beginning, introduces vocabulary and concepts with each lesson and offers hands-on training online. However, we're not going to stop with beginner material. We provide comprehensive training and documentation of Semantic Web technologies. We include comparisons with other, modern data trends, including NoSQL databases and big data systems."

Introducing Linked Data And The Semantic Web - 1 views

  •
What is Linked Data and the Semantic Web and what is all the hype about? Principally, the Semantic Web is a Web 3.0 web technology - a way of linking data between systems or entities that allows for rich, self-describing interrelations of data available across the globe on the web.
