"The Resource Description Framework (RDF) is a framework for representing information in the Web. This document defines an abstract syntax (a data model) which serves to link all RDF-based languages and specifications. The abstract syntax has two key data structures: RDF graphs are sets of subject-predicate-object triples, where the elements may be IRIs, blank nodes, or datatyped literals. They are used to express descriptions of resources. RDF datasets are used to organize collections of RDF graphs, and comprise a default graph and zero or more named graphs. RDF 1.1 Concepts and Abstract Syntax also introduces key concepts and terminology, and discusses datatyping and the handling of fragment identifiers in IRIs within RDF graphs."

The ctrl semantic engine is the first product of the Research and Development group at PRAGMATECH. The main functionality of ctrl's API is to identify the set of (disambiguated) key topics. In ctrl we have moved from words to concepts, then from simple concepts to topics (which are not phrases, but complex 'disambiguated' concepts), and, subsequently, to key topics that represent what a certain document is about.

The ConceptWiki is a universal open access repository of editable concepts. ConceptWiki will evolve from the wiki that is found here now. There will be some rearrangement of the interface and when complete, the ConceptWiki will feature, for each specific concept, a Also Known As table containing identifiers (from various databases) and the associated terminological information.

WordNet® is a large lexical database of English, developed under the direction of George A. Miller. Nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs are grouped into sets of cognitive synonyms (synsets), each expressing a distinct concept. Synsets are interlinked by means of conceptual-semantic and lexical relations. The resulting network of meaningfully related words and concepts can be navigated with the browser. WordNet is also freely and publicly available for download. WordNet's structure makes it a useful tool for computational linguistics and natural language processing.

UMBEL (Upper Mapping and Binding Exchange Layer) has two purposes. Its first purpose is to provide a general vocabulary (the UMBEL "vocabulary") of classes and predicates for describing domain ontologies, with the specific aim of promoting interoperability with external datasets and domains. The second purpose is to provide a coherent framework of broad subjects and topics (the UMBEL "reference concepts"), suitable as binding nodes for mapping relevant Web-accessible content, also with the specific aim of promoting interoperability and to reason over a coherent reference structure and its linked resources. UMBEL presently has about 28,000 of these reference concepts drawn from the Cyc knowledge base, which are organized into more than 30 mostly disjoint SuperTypes.

KnowWE implements a (refined) concept of semantic wikis: Besides basic ontological knowledge - such as the definition of classes, taxonomic and user-defined properties - KnowWE is able to represent problem-solving knowledge that is applied on selected classes of the ontology. Every wiki page embeds not only semantically annotated text and multimedia but also explicit problem-solving knowledge. The embedded knowledge can be used to actually derive the concept related to the particular wiki article.

The RDF Interfaces Specification defines a set of standardized interfaces for working with RDF data in a programming environment. This specification outlines three distinct sets of interfaces: RDF Concept Interfaces, which represent the various RDF Concepts RDF Environment Interfaces, which provide the basic methods required to work with RDF data. RDF Data Interfaces, which are a set of modular interfaces covering common areas of functionality.

The full OpenCyc content is now available both as downloadable OWL ontologies as well as via semantic web endpoints (i.e., permanent URIs). These URIs return RDF representations of each Cyc concept as well as a human-readable version when accessed via a Web Browser.
