The AIFB Web Portal is the public web site of the Institute of Applied Informatics and Formal Description Methods (AIFB) at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. It uses Semantic MediaWiki to provide a highly customised Content Management System. The site provides content in two languages (German and English), and it offers rich views for browsing different kinds of data. The content of the AIFB Web Portal is regularly edited by most members of the institute, from secretary to professor, but it is not open for public editing.

The Data-gov Wiki is a project being pursued in the Tetherless World Constellation at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. We are investigating open government datasets using semantic web technologies. Currently, we are translating such datasets into RDF, getting them linked to the linked data cloud, and developing interesting applications and demos on linked government data.

Minerva Portals is a joint effort of the Institute of Computer Science at the University of Jena and the IBM Deutschland Research & Development GmbH in Boeblingen. The overall goal of this project is provide an architectural solution for the next generation Web portals. We are aiming to overcome the drawbacks and limitations of static portals and make portals more intuitive, dynamic, and flexible. In this project, we work on Web portal extensions in the following areas: * Context-awareness. By taking into account the context in which the user is acting, we can efficiently adjust the portal to fit the user's current situation, for example depending on the currently used device, time or location from which the portal is accessed. * Adaptivity. Adaptive Web portals learn from the users' behavior and make assumptions about their information needs and potential behavior throughout future sessions.
