A nice crossword puzzle to practice months of the year and ordinal numbers. If your students are crossword puzzle fans, this is the right activity for them:-) I actually searched for this activity for my own teaching purposes and tried this activity with the EEC students in 'communication 3' level. They really liked it and were really quick to do it. I guess it was a bit easy for them, however, I think that it was good that they actually could once more practice their spelling skills.

The readings and projects were incomprehensible for my low intermediate student. I believe students of high intermediate or advanced levels would enjoy the environment of this amazing site especially if they are teenagers. Here, scientific information and doable projects which are quite attractive for teenagers are provided in a simplified language. This game is designed for high intermediate EFL student. Through this game, EFL learners can revise their knowledge of job descriptions. This game can be played by one player or two players. Accordingly, it will also promote collaboration between learners. An EFL intermediate learner had a chance to choose one of the provided choices and decide whether it corresponds to the job description provided in the game or not and accordingly, to gain particular score or not. I tried it with my brother's wife (24 year-old) and she in some cases guessed the write answer. She had some difficulties because of some words used in job descriptions. Though, she tried to understand the word in context and guess the meaning. I would suggest my peers to use this educational game because it promotes L2 learners language skills in terms of enhancing their vocabulary.

The game gives an intermediate ESL learner an opportunity to revise his/her knowledge about past tense. This game provides some 'context' where the student can practice his/her knowledge. There is also a level of difficulty in this game i.e. a player can choose from the provided three pts and find the level corresponding to his/her level of language competency. I piloted it with one of my students and he chose the easiest pt and succeeded. After he tried the medium pt and lost 4 points for incorrect choice of form. He tried to do the most difficult one but he did not understand some words in context and couldn't gain needed scores. I would advise EFL teachers to use this game because it enhanced, engaged and motivated my student in language learning.

A very interesting game to practice Past Simple, both irregular and regular verbs.

This is a nice game for elementary level students through which they can learn the names of animals! The best thing about this game is that it has four sections: 1-shows the animal and pronounces the name along wit providing the written variant 2- it checks spelling VS. pronunciation 3-it checks pronunciation VS. picture 4- it checks spelling VS. picture. I tried it with elementary level students (two) and it was quite effective!!!!

Thanks Gayane for this game. I tried this game with my cousin who is 5 years old and only knows 10 letters of the English alphabet. We played this game together and he pretty liked it. He only knew the name of some of the animals but he doesnt recognise the written form of letters. therfore, I skipped the writing parts. I perticularly liked the part which he should listen to the names and then point me the animal to put the name under it. By the way, I used this game just to entertain him not to teach him. It think this approach helped him to just enjoy it as a game not a lesson. Thanks again.

This is a game where the learners have to guess and spell the missing word in present progressive form

This activity is good for developing students' comprehension. How they would analyze the sentence which is given with the missing word. In this game students are provided with some help in the case of if they are not able to guess the answer. It helps students play with the words, match them with the given blank boxes and then fulfill them. I tried this activity with my 2 EEC students. They worked on it as a group and it was productive. The students got motivated because they were trying to guess the missed word the first.

This is a very nice activity for ESL beginners to practice their knowledge.It gives multiple choice questions and also allows the learner to make direct connections between the definitions and real life relatives. I tried it out with my niece who heard most of the answers for the first time. Through this game she remembered most of the new words as they were given in a simple and clear way. I would advise everybody to pilot this game with beginner students.

There are useful worksheets that are printable and can be very effective both to learn new specific vocabulary and to practice already learnt words.

This is a game that may be appropriate for all levels starting from low-intermediate. This game suggests some letters and the player should make as many words with these letters as possible. There is a time limit, and the words that are not correctly spelled are not recognized. At the end all the possible words are suggested. I tried that myself and it was a real fun, the best thing for this game is to think FAST!
