Describer In this game you practice reading for understanding of a description. There are a set of different vocabulary items and you have to read short description and then click on the image that is being described. Hopefully in this you can practice reading and understand in more of a context.

This game will help studets to practice the adjectives which describe people, places and things!

Students will see three words that describe the thing that is in the bag. They will match the descriptive words with the pictures. I have tried this game with my brother. He was able to match the words with the pictures. He memorized the words that were unknown for him easily as the game involves pictures.

Santa says what each child likes and the player must choose the right presents according to how Santa describes the children's personalities.I tried this game with many of my students and they liked it very much.

I liked this one very much. If you want to change the rhythm of the class and engage you students in more active and language using activity, then this is what you need!! This can be worked with high beginner students.

They are flash cards for speaking activities. It can be used with a group or as pair work. The student is to describe what they see in the pictures in the flash card to the rest of the group until they can guess what is in the flash card. It is very engaging and the students will practise speaking with fun and excitement.

The flashcards don't seem to be free though.

I used this video/audio file for teaching 15 children from AUA EEC classes to describe weather (i.e. it is rainy, it is cloudy, it is snowy, it is sunny and etc). This video/audio file helped me to teach children in an enjoyable way. This activity worked well and all the students learned the target material properly.

This game may be used in elementary-intermediate levels. It gives the definition of the object and one should find and click on the object. I tried that with one of my pre-intermediate students, she liked it, but the only thing she suggested is that it should also have the names of the objects written. So, perhaps you could make flashcards from this game and make some additions to it.

This is a good listening activity, where learners will listen to a story and get used to coping with noise when listening. They can listen to the story with and without subtitles. Then they can answer comprehension questions. Alternatively, it is a good story - a part of Halloween party, and students can describe the clothes and characters they see.
