A very fun business crossword game. It will help to improve business vocabulary. To my opinion this game is ideal for both business English learners and general English learners!
This is a crossword puzzle which helps students practice months of the year, ordinal numbers, etc. I tried crossword puzzles in my previous teachings and it is really interesting especially for the 11-12 year old students.
This is a very interesting and effective way for kids to digest what they have already learned during the class. I used this crossword in my EEC Prep 2A class, and the kids did the assignment successfully.
A nice crossword puzzle to practice months of the year and ordinal numbers. If your students are crossword puzzle fans, this is the right activity for them:-) I actually searched for this activity for my own teaching purposes and tried this activity with the EEC students in 'communication 3' level. They really liked it and were really quick to do it. I guess it was a bit easy for them, however, I think that it was good that they actually could once more practice their spelling skills.
This is an interesting activity for kids to repeat letters, extend vocabulary, to pronounce the words correctly. For children who can read this crossword puzzle gives an opportunity to recognize words in written form and practice reading. I have practiced it with my 5 year old son and, though he can not read, he has learnt a lot of new words
I tried it with an ESL Learner. Then when I asked his opinion on it he said that he did it with a great pleasure and it helped him to learn the target vocabulary in a very effective way.
This activity is good for developing students' comprehension. How they would analyze the sentence which is given with the missing word. In this game students are provided with some help in the case of if they are not able to guess the answer. It helps students play with the words, match them with the given blank boxes and then fulfill them. I tried this activity with my 2 EEC students. They worked on it as a group and it was productive. The students got motivated because they were trying to guess the missed word the first.
Comparing animals - Students practice comparatives & Superlatives using this fantastic crossword puzzle with animals words. The grammar focus in my EEC class was comparatives & superlatives and I tried this activity with my EEC students (low intermediate level) and it was interesting for them. It actually helped them think critically. i suggest you do this activity as an individual task, it will help you understand how well the students internalized the comparative and superlative forms of adjectives.
I piloted this activity in my EFL class. My 12 and 13 year old students just loved it. Once I started bringing these kind of crosswords to the class my students keep asking me for more activities of the same type. enjoy:-)
