Blog from Carnegie Mellon University's Research Center of the Master of Arts Management Program. Provides reviews, how-to's, and general information on software systems, MOOC's, assistive technology, and many other types of technology that would be useful for arts managers.

Online courses in entrepreneurship and small business for artists and arts managers. The courses are offered through Fractured Atlas, a non-profit national arts organization that provides resources to every member of the arts industry. The courses look like great introductory refresher courses on a range of topics from marketing for career development.

Thomas Cott is the director of marketing for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. "You've Cott Mail" is a fabulous weekday email for arts enthusiasts, managers, administrators, or artists. He picks a different topic everyday and scours the web for interesting/good/useful blogs, articles, etc, compiles them into one email with several links, and delivers it to your inbox. I can't recommend "You've Cott Mail" enough.

Interesting site with a lot of information. Also the Pew report affirms what I am seeing happening in the organization where I work: The Memphis Symphony. I would love to see more technology used in performances and in education, but funding is an issue, as well as a unified institutional vision as to how to integrate technology into the aesthetic aspects of what we do. Marketing is already making use of technology.

The Fractured Atlas Blog has a running tag called #TechToolTuesday. They highlight a new app every Tuesday that can help with everything from time management, website making, marketing, and finances that are all either free or reasonably affordable.
