Graphite reviews apps, games, and websites that for their educational usefulness. A consistent review template makes the reviews easy to browse and compare. Each tech tool is reviewed by Graphite, and most also show scores from teacher reviews as well. The reviews are focused and have sufficient detail to be helpful. Potential issues for educational use (such as age limits) are noted. Use the filters on the "reviews and Ratings" tab to find apps right for your school, or use the "Top Picks" area to compare tools for similar purposes (making videos, or formative assessments, for example). There is a Common Core Explorer that will suggest tools that fit each standard, and there is also a Teacher Center that includes lesson plans made to take advantage of the tools.

Khan Academy would be a great resource for teachers and administrators looking for help with RTI needs. There are sections for every content area where students can test their skills via an online assessment. After several questions, content is adjusted to the specific learning level of the individual student.

WTAMU Math Tutorials and Help I like how it "showcases exciting" math terms and then how the user can "click on . . . (a term) . . . to Google." At the same time there are Physics forums that can be accessed along with (among other resources) a virtual on-line Math lab ( West Texas A & M University) for GRE Math study sessions, Math for sciences, beginning, intermediate, and college Algebra. A student can go in and seek extra guidance or training (i.e. for a high school class) or it can serve as an extra challenge to tests the student's content knowledge before an exam. This part of the site is geared toward high school students (and college) while the initial page is also appropriate for elementary and middle school students. A great starter to click on a math term that an elementary student may begin to explore. I can see 4-7 grade students really liking this portion to review what they know and experiment with what the are/will be learning.

MERLOT is a free and open peer reviewed collection of online teaching and learning materials and faculty-developed services contributed and used by an international education community. Our middle school is going 1:1 this year and the teachers are encouraged to try blended learning. This site would be helpful for them to help set up their courses.

Very important topic that can get overlooked

We all discuss plagiarism with our students, even at the youngest levels. Although this is meant for older audiences (MS & early HS), this interactive tutorial is a great, quick way to review some of the most important elements when avoiding plagiarism. It can be done together as a class or used as an independent self check.

Many already working in the library world are familiar with Common Sense Education, but if you are like me and only work at the high school level, you may not have had a chance to fully use this website's valuable resources. Starting this fall, the English 9 teacher and I will be teaming up and using portions of the 9-12 digital citizenship lessons offered in the Scope & Sequence section. Besides what we will be using, Common Sense Education also offers free professional development resources, advice on 1-to-1 programs, teacher reviews of instructional technology, and more. This resource is a must for any educator.

This is on the higher end of education. I was asked to review the history offerings just a few months ago. It is, I guess, a landing place for a whole lot of open education classes from across the web.

We are in this battle right now where the person at the secondary wants to switch to Alexandria. She doesn't do anything with our circulation and doesn't know how to check out a book, but she is stopping me from updating our Destiny system. Right now we are server hosted and are about 3 updates behind.
